Low body temp.

I have just taken by temp. it's 34.8 I have a headache and feel chilly. What ways can I up my temp.? I have an underactive thyroid and take 100mcg. T4 once a day and 10 mcg. T3 twice a day.

You may need a slight increase in your meds. Sometimes, too, our temp never gets back to normal but with optimum meds we should feel warmer.

Thanks Shaws, I had bloods on Monday,might see if the results are back. Looks like an afternoon in bed for me.

well temp is 34.8 BP 150/85 Pulse 78. TSH 0.088 and T4 12.7. Doc will ring tomorrow. Does anyone have any ideas?

...oh dear ! Looking at your other symptoms on your profile I do think you are undertreated. How did they prescribe T3 without having tested it ? Now there's a strange thing Have you considered T3 only ?

Hi Marz,when I went to endo in April I saw the "understudy",he didn't let me get a word in. It seemed that he was ticking boxes. It was only after the head man came back that I got a letter from them with a 'script for the combo. I have an appointment in Nov. I shall ring and ask to see the head man or else.

when I had those problems I would go and have a shower as hot as I could and then jump into bed but if I couldn't get rid of the shivers I would have to go to the hospital and stay there overnight under observations,
