Always using the ‘P’ word is a bit embarrassing, but having not really suffered since I gave birth to my son 21 years ago, a few days ago they’ve returned 😖
I have been diagnosed with IBS, but weirdly enough I’m going to the loo fine, not constipated 🤷♀️ so wondering why I have them.
Anyway, Anusul isn’t really helping, and I had to resort to an ice pack this morning, if anyone has any top tips, please let me know!

I have Uni-roid ointment/cream from the GP (prescription only) which does help a little, as for feeling embarrassed about the word piles, its a lot easier to spell than haemorrhoids 😜
You could ask gp for a cream with steroids in it prosectdyl I think it’s called also I bought a sitz bath from amazon and you can soak your backside in it with Epsom’s salts I’ve read witch hazel wipes are supposed to be soothing too also I’ve used sudocrem x
If its an internal, prolapsed, thrombosed haemorrhoid then home remedies wont work and these will not get rid of it, however using 4% lidocaine (on prescription or buy OTC) can help to numb the pile, if that doesn't help ask your gp for scheriproct ointment (contains prednisolone hexanoate and cinchocaine hydrochloride) but again it will not get rid of the pile. Good luck
Thanks for that. My GP has prescribed me some ointment and the suppositories (with Prednisone), so I’m feeling a lot better now. They’re still there, but no half so large or sore - phew 😅 I love this forum, it’s a wealth of good information 👍
