Piles

Looks like I've got an internal one,I get a wet sore itchy feeling, that I've had since Xmas,I can feel the lump and push it back in . My question is will it just go away or do I have to see the doc,I've tried some germanoid cream on the lump but it hasn't really done anything as far as I know, it's driving me nuts to be honest.

Yeah it's looking that way, either that or I will end up in a nut house.

The GP can prescribe a cream like Proctosedyl which has some steroid in it. The OTC ones for me are useless.

Yes in fact the OTC creams make it worst if anything ,I just get irritation around groin area, thanks for the info.

They do make it worse! The other steroid cream is Uniroid-HC and this is the same as Proctosedyl. Good luck

Even the NHS suggests you may not need to go to doctor and can resolve yourself, as also advised by Spire Healthcare - see links below:

Does it bleed? Suffering haemorrhoids myself I know the problem. Anusol HD suppositories are what I use for internal haemorrhoids. The cream for external. It shrinks the pile. It has worked for me. Constipation has caused my problem , hope you find something that suits you.

Doesn't bleed and it pushes back in OK,but I've got this weird damp itchy feeling constantly, apart from that there's no other symptoms ,I thing I've had the hemmeroid a while but it's only recently been playing up.

I think it says if the treatment doesn’t clear it up in a couple of weeks get medical advice.

Yes thanks for the reply, I've actually stopped using all creams and things have improved,so I will probably see how things go in the next week or so.

You have done the right thing Ronnieboy in pushing it back in immediately it comes out, I unfortunately didn't find that out for a long time that doing that is the only thing that matters, I thought just putting cream on it, anusol, etc, was all he was supposed to do so I didn't push it back in - huge mistake, resulting in the fact it now comes out quite regularly, because I left it out for so long thinking creams were supposed to be the answer to getting them to go back in, not realising that putting creams on does absolutely nothing about getting them back in compared to the huge importance of just immediately pushing them back in immediately physically yourself! Fingers crossed you will have no further problems😀.
