Painful piles
Get anusol with hydrocortisone it is more than likely what you would have been given on a prescription. You will need to ask at the counter for it.
Thanks lisahelen will try that in the morning
Hi
If you can get something from the doctor I find it helps and seems to work much faster than the over the counter stuff.

My ex partner use anusol for the treatment and germolene as it has an anesthetic he said it did give good intial relief and the anusol stops the flare ups. Good luck
Ultimately the solution is removal .If external they can be banded which is not anything to worry about .I put off having them dealt with for all the usual reasons but now wish I had had it done years before as it was not the awful and embarrassing proceedure I had imagined it to be ! .Changed my life ! Well made dealing with Diverticulitis \ IBSC far easier ! Cheers
SEE DOCTOR CANT BUT GOOD ENOUGH STUFF OVER THE COUNTER.
Warm baths can help-try not to strain.increase water intake-should all help
Germoloids suppository, absolutely brilliant, gets rid of them in a day,I've used them for over 50yrs on and off, never found anything to come close.
Hi Phil83,
I have suffered piles for years, probably due to IBS. I have tried almost every product available and had the Banding procedure carried out. Everything failed .
Recently,- things much improved using a very simple and cheap treatment, which is really worth trying. Buy ALUM crystals ( potassium aluminium sulphate) . You can get it on Ebay or Amazon ( I think).
You put , say three tablespoons in a mixing container and add about 5 times that amount of warm water to the alum. I think WARM water is optional but it maybe helps dissolve the crystals I just put it all in a small bottle and stir and shake it up to mix it. If you use a bottle with a lid you can mix enough to last a while.
Next soak a cotton ball in the solution and gently dab on the area , possibly hold it against the pile for a while. Gradually, you will feel it shrink away and it helps stop any bleeding and infection. I don't think it is a total cure but it has made a great difference to this uncomfortable condition.
Hope this helps.

I find having a long soak in a warm bath really reduces pain and irritation for me. Give plenty of access to the area if you get my drift and the soothing nature of the will reduce pain and keep everything clean too.
I know this sounds strange but had piles for years tried everything . I've helped many family members and friends with this . Firstly avoid tea and instant coffee . Start the day with bicarbonate of soda 1/2 tsp + water . Then take 3 charcoal tablets . After your movement ,Without promoting a brand take dr organics tea tree skin lotion ,this will keep it moist and in 3 days not the first day but be patient after each movement and application you'll notice a difference . Try it and let me know . Also eat properly kiwi fruit is good and natural fibres . Hope this helps
