IBS is really pissing me off now ! Colonoscopy results are clear which is great - still waiting on sample results taken and the other tests.

Finding life generally v bad. I tend to wake up with a dodgy stomach most days.

Spend a good part of the day not eating for fear of what my happen.

And then I eat like there's tomorrow.

That is normally followed by a dodgy stomach.

Also I've been having really bad acid reflux randomly.

I will be the poster person for how not to deal with IBS.

The fodmap has fodmapped my head in ..

Everyone and then I eat something and it's ok.

Generally it isn't.

Blood test wise some time ago it was determined that I'm not have celiac disease. I want to find out if I am allergic to anything.

I kind of went off gluten free bread a while back and I find it hard to get sourdough bread that doesn't contain wheat in supermarkets.

I worry about everything which makes it worse.

Fun and games...

Sorry to hear your having a rough time with your IBS. I have a Colonoscopy today, do they give you any of results on the day or do you have to wait?

Hi there, - they give the results 1/2 weeks later depending on if samples were taken- if you call in you might get them earlier. Good luck with today. Try and eat little and often and not too much in one go ( my mistake !) for the next few days.

Hi, have you had an endoscopy, maybe you have a hiatal hernia. I have this and you have to give up the good stuff, chocolate, anything tomatoes and more. Check this out about the food. If I eat something that I should not eat, I keep tums handy! Hope this helps! Sandy

You know what you need to do: stop eating fake food. Your previous posts and reply to Maxbella about not giving up chocolate speaks volumes. Keep your diet simple and consistent. If you want a quick fix, eat nothing but meat and fat (animal, butter, coconut oil, NOT margarine (which is basically spreadable plastic)). Drink water.

Hang on just to be clear - I drink loads of water, I don't eat margarine. when you mention fake food can you be more specific- I am trying to eat non dairy cheese and non lactose cheese where possible. I do use extra virgin coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil. Meat wise- don't eat tons at home mainly chicken. The bread thing is an issue as I do like my bread and try and experiment with what works. I recently got some sourdough/spelt bread with no wheat in it which was great bit lasted about 5 seconds as there wasn't much of it...

Obviously I have bad habits with other stuff and takeways etc and I know this is all about consistency but I am trying to be honest here as there is no point in being anything else..

Youre me to be honest - I can eat whatever I want for days (sometimes weeks) then BAM. Betrayal - Ive been suffering BADLY for 4 weeks after taking a tiny dose of antibiotics and its put my stomach into volatile mode - had chocolate, milkshakes, chips aswell as couscous, rice, vegetables, water and then one day I got cocky and had some peri peri nandos sauce along with garlic bread and juice and my gosh the pain the next morning :(. suppose that was daft of me after not eating spicy for a while. Breads, rices etc are currently my best friends and unfortunately water - I miss pepsi and coffee but apparantly my body is showing me respect after Ive sooooort of been respecting it
