I have been having intermittent stomach ache now for 5 days and it is not easing. The pain generally builds up from either side of my lower back, round to the front and then crampy grabbing pains for about a minute which then ease off. It feels like I have a dodgy tummy and need to do a poo or pass wind. However I dont. I get no other symptons, no diareagh or constipation, I go to the loo once a day like normal. No sickness or vomitting or temperature just continuous discomfort and pain. It doesnt happen when I sleep, I am fine, the starts again in the morning. It is making me very depressed and anxious. I have lost weight as getting scared of what to eat.
Has anyone experienced this or could help at all please. Thank you .

I've been having similar for a few days now and I know a few other people are too, I'm wondering if it's not ibs but maybe a bug or something like that.
You need to eat, when my ibs was really bad I always used two things and they helped big time.. Bananas and ginger tea, they are both excellent for the digestive system.. Maybe it would be worth you trying them..
It could be a bug I guess it’s just it seems to be going on a long time. I hope it is really as that means it should end soon enough. I’ve eaten so little I must have flushed my system out by now. It’s just something I’ve never had before so I am scared. I also had diverticulitis a few years ago and a perforated colon and I am always scared now of stomach pain although I don’t think it is diverticular because it is not really on my left lower side and pain is different.
Yes although I am never sure what docs can really do it is a problem with abdominal pain unless you have a fever or severe vomiting etc. Anyway I had ginger tea this morning and a banana feel ok so far thanks so much for your help and good luck at the docs.
Have you been to the doctors that might be a start in the right direction. Also start a diary of what you eat and see if there is any pattern between the pain and food. Try taking paracetamol not nurofen . Or lying down with a hot water bottle or a hot drink. Good luck I know its frightening , take care.
Thank you yes I have done all those things. Doc prodded my tummy and said it seemed fine. He said keep a diary. This morning I ate ready break and half a banana I hope this will be okay for me. I haven’t eaten much for 5 days. I think a lot is stress or anxiety I have few family issues at mo, but it seems very real and hurts so much. Let’s see what today brings. Many thanks
