Yes. Nearly every night I wake at about 2am with right side pain which lasts 2 hours then subsides enough for me to go back to sleep. Sometimes accompanied by loo visits sometimes not. I have cut out wheat and keep other carbs low. This has stopped the bloating and gas I was having all through the day, but not the night pain. Have had clear colonoscopy and MRI. They don't know what it is. I personally think it's my menopause slowing things down digestively and causing a blockage, but you end up guessing at your own diagnosis, as docs just don't know. I
Thank you very much for answering me. I appreciate you telling me. I know exactly what you mean. I have tried to cut back colas which l love. I felt this can be a lot of the culprit. Every doctor l have been too says the same thing. l feel like sometimes l need to except what is wrong and suffer with it. I just wished there was some cure for all this. Hang in there.
If I have a IBS flare up I get cramps at night and during the day. they are some times so painful I literally cry out with the pain and feel dizzy breathless and sweaty.
Often then have at least 2 loo trips.
When sticking to low FODMAP and drinking lots of water, folowing the four day rule, taking probiotics and getting lots of sleep, I don't have any cramps.
Thanks Louise for your reply. I do try and use the bathroom but cannot pass anything. Sometimes having hard time in passing gas. Sometimes l just finally get up. But the doctors keep saying IBS. I feel like sometimes l worry to much about it.
