Off Xtandi July 1after PSA back up to 3.5 after reaching low .9 on 6/9/18. Started Xtandi August 2017. Start Zytiga on July 14. A summary of my treatment history since diagnosis in 1999 at age 55 is in my profile. Hope this is helpful to some of you wondering what to expect and what the possibilities are. May the force be with you.

XTANDI UPDATE
What's the rationale on Xtandi vs. Zytiga vs. Erleada? Do different people respond differently?
I know Zytiga is generic now, so cost consideration has to play in.
My oncologist suggested we try Zytiga next and I trust his judgment. I am not familiar with Erleader at all.
Thanks for your update, hope everything is going well with Zytiga? What are the metal braces, is it an op? Has your compression and rib got better?
It’s actually a strap on brace front and back and ribs that was given to me after my second fall because the fractures and compression were inoperable. Now about 15 months after my second fall I’m able to go without the brace most of the time but still on fentanyl patches for the pain. Able to walk short distance in the house but if I go out I use a cane, walker or wheel chair depending on the circumstances. Have to sleep on my back on a 45 degree incline.
Good to hear you don't have to use brace so often. I wonder sometimes if my husband has a compression, and his pain comes from that. Can you see a compression on a radiography? Keep fighting!
Yes it should show up on your bone scans
Hello chascri.... so far a 20 year battle.... you'll make it to a 30 year battle.... Taken a few slips and falls and you're still going.. Good Show... BTW where are you located? Hopefully you have support around the house and outside. Keep Posting!!!

Have you had genetic testing to make sure you're not BRCA2+? I was initially on Zytiga for just 6 months before my PSA accelerated up from 0.13 to 0.55. I am BRCA2+ and have now been on Olaparib for 3 months. PSA now <0.01.
