My response to WinnieThePoo.
The NMDA receptors are affected by multiple factors, including
magnesium
(which blocks the channel),
(positive and negative modulator).

Still no treatment. After nearly 2 years of tests and consultations
I am also taking vit B6, omega 3 fish oil,
zinc
, soluble vit C and liquid iron with added vit C and Magnesium at night. I was taking folic acid but then stopped as I read it can mask a vit B12 deficiency but my sister in Law says the opposite so im confused.

Where can I get my mineral levels tested?
But I have no idea what my
zinc
and magnesium etc. levels are. Is there a home test kit I can use that doesn't cost the earth?

Does Fostair Makes You More Sensitive to Allergens?
I don't take any other medications or supplements other than Fostair, Montelukast and my magnesium+vit b6 and
zinc
taken to avoid cramps from running. I think of asking my allergist to change my inhaler, but i don't know if that will help or to look for other solution.

Test interpretation please
I also supplement B12, D,
zinc
, Mg (also failed in this test - annoying). I've been taking my Basal body temp for the last month. It is almost always between 36.30 - 36.80 with an average of around 36.50 irrespective of where I am in my cycle (still menstruating, not yet peri-menopausal).

testosterone boosters after ADT?
I asked my endocrinologist about
zinc
and Vitamin D to aid T recovery, and he said it probably wouldn’t help, but won’t hurt anything. I saw some “testosterone support” from Wieder at the store and am considering it. It augments these two with some herbs and a lot of Vitamin B6 and B12.

Hashimotos Now What?
My GP is unconcerned and my TSH has elevated from my previous blood test in May from 1.99 to 2.71, however my TPO has reduced a bit from 324 to 267 as I’ve been taking supplements of Selenium,
Zinc
, Methyl B12, ACV, Berberine, as I’m also on Metformin for Type 2 Diabetes and my dose has just been increased

Advice/assistance regarding starting T3.
Current supplements include cod liver oil (which has a tiny amount of vit D), calcium, magnesium and
zinc
(again with a tiny dose of vit D), B complex, and plenty of sunshine. Diagnosis: autoimmune thyroiditis, multinodule goitre, calcified thyroid cyst, many other thyroid cysts.

Zinc and Selenium
Tested them both via my GP back in 2016 with my Selenium being very slightly over range and
zinc
slightly under and I wasn't eating well at that time and very underweight Wonder whether it would be beneficial to get it done or just supplement with a low dose?

Zinc and Copper Deficiencies
My questions to you are: Is there any connections between
zinc
and copper deficiencies and PA/B12D? I have read you should not take
zinc
and copper together and I have read you SHOULD take
zinc
copper and
zinc
together. Which is correct?
