Overdosed on NDT without realising. Feel horrendous.
I'm posting here again because I am really, really struggling. I have just had the worst week I've had health wise in nearly 2 years. It would seem that I have been massively overdosing my Efra Thyroid. I upped my dosage following my discussion my Holistic Doctor at the start of October to 1 x 60mg

"Everything's fine" ~ Iron levels question
Hello, been a while, hope y'all hangin in there! Got more tests back, doctor receptionist said "everything's fine" but I'm not so sure of course & been researching Iron & TIBC - I have high for both but most of what I'm reading says low iron level + high TIBC = iron deficiency, not high+high: Serum ferritin

"Normal" but not optimal? Advice would be appreciated
Hi there I'm really appreciating this site and the information I've gleaned from it. I had blood tests done with Medichecks last week and I would appreciate some advice about the results as everything seems to be in range but I'm not feeling OK. I was put on 50mcg of levothyroxine back in March due to

hair mineral analysis test results have come back. any advice?
Your hair mineral analysis report is attached. This is reported as showing high calcium levels. The correlation between hair and blood levels of minerals is not well established. If you would like confirmation of these findings then I recommend checking the blood levels of the affected minerals.

Changed to NDT and still feeling very poorly and depressed.
I have been on Levothyroxine for 25 years but over the last 6 months have been feeling very unwell. I posted here a few months ago with blood test results and have since decided to go onto Nature-throid on my own as my drs. are just not even prepared to discuss it. I have read quite a lot but am still

How much can a thyroid heal itself ?
I do get a sense that many here are on a similar journey to improve their general health to the greatest possible extent and support improvements to health and well being. In that context, for those who have been on the journey longer than me and now have Stomach working well - vitamins/minerals being

Back to 5k road racing & a shout for the blessings of chelated zinc
Just.a message of hope for those in the early stages of recovery - with a decent diet, all the best supplements, restful sleep, restoration does occur. Whilst my time was 5 minutes slower than a PB from 5 years ago the exciting thing was I found it all very easy and little strain to generate the muscle

Erfa or Euthyral? Euthyrox was not a success
I am new here and would love to get some views from the community as I have been struggling with my meds in the past couple of months. Here's the background: May 2016: diagnosed with hypo, I had all the classical hypo symptoms (cold feet, hands nose, legs, constipation, aenemia, tired, brain fog, puffy

Ignorance
Hello, I have DRY AMD, I was diagnosed last year and still find it very frightening! I have tried to do my own research and every where I come across the same statement. "If AMD is diagnosed in time, then with the right supplements and change of life style," (in other words, getting as healthy as you

Question
I seen my thyroid doctor today I asked her if I should start selenium and zinc because I'm really hypothyroid and my numbers aren't budging. She told me no not unless it's a very tiny dose in a multivitamin cause it could affect the way the thyroid is being absorbed. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Zinc/ veins
I have varicose and spider veins. A doctor suggested taking zinc, which constipated me. Does zinc really help with veins?

Help with blood test results, please.
I had my blood tests done last Friday (last blood tests were done back in April this year). Is it possible to get the results on the same day, even though I was told that it would take at least a week before they were ready? My TSH, which was 0.01 from this April , suddenly went up to 13.25miu/L [0.34

Thyroid?
Normal Ranges: TSH 0.3-4.5 FT3 3.1-6.8 FT4 11-22 My FT3 never changes. I have managed to bring my TSH below 1 (at last) as a general guide and also as an actual known point where I was before illness (Subacute Thyroiditis). I will write my latest results (19/10/2017) in a bit below. During

Normal TSH and T4 but low T3 - still have hypo symptoms
Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice. I have been on Levo for 2 years now and my TSH and T4 are currently in the right range (TSH 0.61, T4 15.0) but I've been feeling progressively more and more symptomatic (depression, weight gain, cold, insomnia, tiredness) for a few months. I decided to order

Help with NDT / T3 dosing please, and ferritin!
Hi there, I'm 49, and was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s around 2014/15. I took thyroxine 50mcg for about a year, which didn’t help much, then increased to 75mcg thyroxine plus 10 - 20 mcg T3 per day (seems I don’t convert too well) I was actually feeling pretty ok on this dose, though not quite my old self
