Factors that assist T3 to enter cells
I wonder if anybody can enlighten me to the latest research / theories on which factors assist / prevent T3 to enter cells and therefore make them work. The reason I ask is that I have got my B12, folate, vit D3, and iron to the optimal levels suggested here on these forums. I have also got myself to

Newbie Hypothyroid
Hi, I had total thyroidectomy in 2017 due to multi-nodular goitre. Since then I’ve had lots of symptoms from flushing, anxiety, can’t tolerate heat, muscle pains etc. I was originally on 100 mg of Levo and I couldn’t tolerate Teva so I asked the GP to reduce to 75. For months went through combinations

Taxanes + Zinc?
New study [1]. The taxane chemotherapy drugs get the name from the yew [genus Taxus]. We are perhaps more familiar with Docetaxel [Taxotere] but Paclitaxel [Taxol], from the Pacific yew, was the first. "Paclitaxel (PTX) is a first-line chemotherapeutic drug for the treatment of prostate cancer.{?} However

Frustrated - please help me with my battle plan :)
In the United States... So, last year my daughter was diagnosed hypothyroid. In studying up on that, I suspected I was too - brain fog, fatigue, low basal temp, high bp, insomnia, mild depression among other things. In Nov. I got doc to order labs. He wanted to take a wait and see based on numbers

Help requested interpreting lab results
Hi all, I would very much appreciate your help in interpreting my latest lab results, see below. I decided to have FT3 and rT3 and other values checked in a private lab because my endo didn't do so. Reason is remaining hypo symptoms. My levo has been increased from 0.137 to 0.15 per day since mid December

Vitamin D and Testosterone Co-ordinately Modulate Intracellular Zinc Levels and Energy Metabolism in Prostate Cancer Cells.
New study below [1]. I remember reading some old studies years ago that reported interaction between the vitamin D receptor [VDR] & the androgen receptor [AR]. Implying that one must have sufficient (hormonal) vitamin D & androgen to get the effect. From 2003 [2]: "Male Sprague-Dawley rats (165 days

HH and Effects on Minerals
Hi everyone :) Does anyone here with HH also have mineral deficiencies? I read a few articles the other day about Mangenese (an important mineral) being very similar in make up to iron and the conclusion was that both minerals compete with one another. So when Iron is overloaded, it causes a deficiency
