Help requested interpreting lab results
Hi all, I would very much appreciate your help in interpreting my latest lab results, see below. I decided to have FT3 and rT3 and other values checked in a private lab because my endo didn't do so. Reason is remaining hypo symptoms. My levo has been increased from 0.137 to 0.15 per day since mid December

Vitamin D and Testosterone Co-ordinately Modulate Intracellular Zinc Levels and Energy Metabolism in Prostate Cancer Cells.
New study below [1]. I remember reading some old studies years ago that reported interaction between the vitamin D receptor [VDR] & the androgen receptor [AR]. Implying that one must have sufficient (hormonal) vitamin D & androgen to get the effect. From 2003 [2]: "Male Sprague-Dawley rats (165 days

HH and Effects on Minerals
Hi everyone :) Does anyone here with HH also have mineral deficiencies? I read a few articles the other day about Mangenese (an important mineral) being very similar in make up to iron and the conclusion was that both minerals compete with one another. So when Iron is overloaded, it causes a deficiency

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION OF THESE LAB RESULTS?
These are some, not all, of the results of my last bloodwork done on October 29, 2019. These are US estimates. I didn't include the ones that was in normal range but I do have some things that are either the high ens or low end of normal and was wondering if this could effect ones swnse of overall well

Hair Loss if hypothyroid?
There have been a number of posts of members complaining of thinning hair or hair loss altogether. I came across this link which is informative and could be helpful. I think I'd get a blood test first to see if we have a zinc deficiency because we may not, so no point in supplementing. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Help with supplements/dosing please?
Hello (I am currently on 25mcg a day of levo. I definitely feel underactive, having particular problems with inflamed gums that I have posted separately about. I also have Grave's disease (in remission)). Had blood test in December to check my vitamin levels, would welcome thoughts on changes to supplementation

Possible PCOS but GP won’t refer me to endocrinologist - hair loss main issue
Hi all, Just found the site. I’m 38 and in Nov. I had a transvaginal scan and have fibroids and ‘suggestion of polycystic ovaries’. I have been on the pill since I was 31 - starting for bad skin (horrible acne type on chin during time of month) and before the pill I had normal periods, a 28 day cycle

Inflamed and sore gums
Has anyone else had an issue with the above? I have Graves and possible hashis. Was underactive when last tested and am on just 25mcg levo. The inflammation however started in June/July with some redness around my front right hand tooth. At this point I felt very well and assume my thyroid levels were

Advice on latest results please - overmedicated?
I'd be grateful for advice on my latest results, please. I was diagnosed with hypothryoidism (Hashi's) in September 2017, and over the following year with advice from this forum and repeated blood tests I was able to persuade my GP to gradually increase my levo until it got up to 100mcg - I started
