Been on every script for over 20 yrs. all stopped working . Now take kratom which has been godsend, but disgusting plus I’m so exhausted I’ve had a car accident and walked into a door. Now need more kratom. Any suggestions? You are the best help there is. Thank you!

Increased fibre causing extreme constipation and abdominal pains
I have had a somewhat unhealthy diet most of my life (fast food a few times a week, not so many veggies etc). I decided to change my diet completely and quite drastically incorporated a lot of fruit and veg into my diet. I went from an average of 10g of fibre a day (no issue with constipation) to 25g

Rechecking JAK2 V617F Allele Burden
Hi all, I have an appt with my heme on Feb 4 where he will test my allele burden - 1 yr since my PV diagnosis. Been on a daily double dose of a baby aspirin, weekly pegasys 45mcg, and phlebotomies as necessary ever since. I’ll report back on the results. Curious if others have stories/data to share on

Recurring Hepatic Encephalopathy
Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I posted and I hope everyone is staying encouraged and strong on your journey. I wrote last year about my brother and his Ascites and cirrhosis diagnosis. Well, it has not been easy the past 4 months. He is currently having repeated hepatic encephalopathy episodes

Desperate for answers after negative Hirschsprungs Disease result today for my 4 year old boy.
I wondered if anyone could offer me any advice please. My 4 yr old had a rectal biopsy done at bham children's on 5th Jan. It's come back negative for HD today. We are now being referred back to his ongoing paediatrician at Warwick hospital - we have an appt on 27th Jan. Joshua has been impacted most

Can I give my dad Mucinex nightshift cold and flu if he has Parkinsons and takes carbidopa/levodopa?
I have given him Mucinex but don't know if this is the same and is ok to take.

I did C25k two years ago and got to running 8-10 relatively regularly, including a gorgeous trot with @Oldfloss in Criccieth and a crazy parkrun on Pwhellii beach accompanied by the Cats and Kittens. Aggression
My husband had a AVM rupture about 9 years ago and in July two years ago he was in a motorcycle accident that caused a severe concussion. Since the accident he has suffered with a lot of things but aggression is his biggest. What have you done in situations of anger? Today he was upset that I said not

BBC News Story, 'My mum was an alcoholic and it was a massive secret'
While I fully understand that this site isn’t an alcohol forum, alcohol has had an impact upon so many peoples lives, and this site is about support and hopefully raising awareness with others. So please forgive me as this post isn’t directly liver-related. What is often forgotten is the impact alcohol-abuse

Another update on my dad
Spoke to the consultant today, my dad’s making good progress so far and they’re pleased about his lungs. They had him sitting up in a chair and breathing on his own, although he tired. He still has secretions, so they’re thinking they’ll look to extubate by midweek.I asked about his stroke and whether

Polyhydramnios at 34 weeks- scared to death
Hi, I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios at 34weeks, scared of the implications it may have on baby and me. Anyone who experienced the same thing?

Thiamine mononitrate relieved tremors?
Did it work for you? He said, “Roy Propsner I didn't know that. But this stuff works really good for my wife. Before she started to taking it she shook so hard it made her cry. Now she is real calm and can handle anything without dropping it and she doesn't fall like she used to.” Doug Collins

Laxido for fecal impaction. What to expect?
Hi, I was in hospital yesterday and told I have a fecal impaction and given laxido, told to take 8 sachets in six hours. I am on my glass now and already starting to feel the effects. I had imagined that it would just soften the blockage enough for me to pass as a type 4 stool? I currently have diarrhoea
