Please help!
Please, can somebody tell me if it is ok to feel nearly constant tightening in my throat, especially in the middle of the bottom part of the throat/neck, like somebody is pressing finger on that part and I have feeling of sickness although I am not?! I can eat and drink without a problem, had barium

LAM fact sheet
This is produced by the LAM action in Nottingham. You will have an idea of this rare lung disease which only affects women and usually at child-bearing age. http://lamaction.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Fact-Sheet-on-LAM.pdf I thought it would answer some of the questions asked in a professional

Colouring
I have arthritis as many of you know. My fear always is that I’ll lose skills I have. I’ve always loved colouring and writing. I got a new book for Christmas and started this on Christmas Day. This is how far I’ve gotten. I’m quite proud of how much I’ve done so far over the days. Does anyone else

So - after having hair falling out in greater amounts - I’ve finally seen a GP who is taking my concern seriously and I’ve bern diagnosed with the above. Looking up information on this I see it says it can be due to stress and or auto immune disorder. Anyone got any further info or advice please?

Post Lung Surgery
In 2010 I had a bi-Lobectomy lung operation. Initially I had limited physiothrapy but apart from seeing the consultant every few months any form of rehabilitation was only available by application. I gave up and bought a indoor exercise bike, brilliant but lost motivation. Next walking the dog, still

Raynauds tip
I have a great tip for raynauds sufferers. Wear the very thin vinyl gloves under your chosen cold weather gloves. They actually keep your hand so warm. Even if you are forced to take your thick outdoor gloves off the vinyl gloves retain the warmth until you can get your thick ones back on!! Hope this

Hi I'm a newbie & looking for some advice. Around 6 yrs ago I had the sensation of food/something getting stuck in my throat. Wasn't until a year ago that I was sent for a barium swallow test and a oesophageal exam which showed gastro reflux and I was given Lansoprazole which hasn't done very much

My holiday!!
As some of you may have read in my previous posts, I have PMR and GCA and am currently on 35mg Pred. Back in February - before this illness was diagnosed - I was invited to stay with friends for a holiday in Florida during October/November this year. This was to be my very first visit to America so I

I decided to try little experiment to help get relief from Hyperacusis and to my utter shock it worked !
Hi everyone, I thought I should share this info with you because if it worked for me I'm sure it can for any of you. Firstly, this is no cure for the condition, Oh how I wish ! But it will, I'm sure, make it invisible to your senses. A bit like a magician's illusion is the best way to describe it. You

Hip Surgery with Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a little over a year ago, along with osteoarthritis. I am about to have my right hip replaced due to osteoarthritis. The docs have said it will be harder for me, because of the fibromyalgia. Has anyone else undergone hip surgery with fibro? Thanks

Heart issues
Can anyone tell me if they have heart issues related to underactive thyroid? I was undiagnosed for around 15 years. After being treated, not effectively for 8 years I now appear to have been diagnosed with aortic stenosis. Anyone have similar issues?

I'm complicated!
Thank you for the lovely welcome. Maybe I should give a bit of background first. I have quite a few auto immune things going on, as well as other bits and bobs, so I'll just do a quick list! UCTD, Lupus, Systemic Sclerosis, Septic/Osteo Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Hiatus Hernia, Sjogren's Syndrome, GORD
