Petscan Results - Great News!
Did another petscan last Monday and the results compared to July's last scan were an absolute blessing. Scan summary says: "No definite hypermetabolic lesion to suggest FDG avid locoregional recurrence or metastatic disease. Stable faint uptake in right small axillary scar, likely post procedure.

Results : Organic Acid Test (OAT) from Great Plains Laboratory.
I wanted to share the details of the results for my mother, based on Urine test . Hopefully, this will help a few on this forum. I am only indicating the High/Low items in the report. The remaining ( of the total of 77 items) were within the Ref. Range. See attached sample report from their website

Borage Oil and PMR
So we were just watching a documentary in the US that originated in the UK about alcohol and new drinking guidelines in the UK. A hangover remedy that had some success was borage oil in capsule form because of its anti-inflammatory effects. I’m wondering if anyone with PMR has had any success with borage

Fish oil without the fishy smell or taste.
A new study, co-led by University of Cincinnati researchers, describes the development of a refining process that scientists deem a superior method to help produce better dietary omega-3 health and dietary supplements containing fish oil. Fish oil is widely known to be an excellent dietary source

Balanitis for 3 months
I’ve been dealing with a fungal infection / Balanitis for the past 3 months 1/2. It started when I had smegma underneath my foreskin built up that caused redness. I was prescribed Ketoconazole and Desitin which got rid of the infection in 3 weeks. I was dealing with a bit of tip issues towards the end

Is an Omega 3 Supplement a good idea?
I've been reading about the anti-inflammatory properties of Omega fish oils (3-6-9) - I would be interested in any experience with taking this type of supplement and whether it is safe to take with steroids? There is also a bewildering array of different formulations of these supplements, so any advice

Algesal Cream
I have found something that helps. When my legs start getting painful, it always starts in a different place, arch of my foot, back of my knee, thigh, calf, really random. As soon as I feel it, I rub my leg to see where it's painful and massage it with this cream. It seems to work! It also works

Conceiving after Mirena removal
Hello, has anyone has difficulty getting pregnant after having a Mirena coil removed? I’ve never had a baby and would like to conceive and have been trying for 6 months with nothing. My period is so much lighter than before I had the Mirena (although day 1 is medium flow). Would anyone recommend taking

Don't confuse 'DHA' with 'DHEA' like I did!
Happy Sunday morning! I was doing a little research this morning as I was increasingly bothered by the idea that I had been taking fish oil with EPA and DHA for over a year now and recently read so much on here about what I thought was DHA's negative effect on fertility for some women. However
