I have been to the doctors and I been given some peppermint oil tables to help with the cramping. I am also thinking of taking some probotics, I been recommended by a user on here to try Alflorex .
Had anyone used a conbination of both of these before?
Did it help?
How long did it take for you to see any improvements?
thanks

Hi, i find peppermint eases cramps after about 10 minutes but probiotics are often a slow burner. They can cause upset for 2-3 weeks so go slow. Normally takes 4-6 weeks to work, if they do work.
I just started a high dose on colon care probiotics expensive suckers. I have ibs & reflux. Peppermint oil
Is fantastic if you don’t have reflux. You kinda get worse before better sometimes on things.
I taken the peppermint oil tablets for a day and my cramping have stopped. I'm quite surprised how well they worked and for over a week I am now pain free. I heard it does not play well with acid reflux. Again everyone millage may differ. Nice to feel a bit of normality.
If you do try Alflorex you need to give it at least 4 weeks. c.60% of people will experience the benefit at 4 weeks and this increases if you take it for 6 weeks. There may be some initial discomfort in week 1/2 as your gut microbiome adapts but if you see this through then a lot of people experience the benefit
