The Mediterenian diet good for PD, MIND diet even better
In fact, this diet brings together the best of the two diets most widely supported by science: The DASH

(which protects the heart and blood vessels).

How long between huge weight loss till huge weight gain?
I had my last thyroid bloods were done on February 14th 2022 and were TSH 0.03(0.35-5.50) FT4 21.4(10.0-20.0). I have dropped 6kgs or 13.2lbs in weight, so nearly a stone but because the nurse was too lazy to actually weigh me this wasn't picked up for another month and I have gone from a size 14 to

Food when on PD Dialysis
I haven't really seen this but what all do you eat? I'm not yet there and at 17% I'm mostly eating plants. So if I was on PD can I eat what I like while sticking to healthy food but what about high potassium foods like potatoes, tomatoes, cantaloupe, bananas and the like? Since I am taking meds for

Another interesting insight from a doctor - this time Dr Nadir Ali at a “low carb down under” conference.
This doctor has realised that the medical profession needs to listen to its knowledgeable patients in order to make progress. Yay!! Here is his first slide. The last word - on the next slide - is “buggy whipped”. For anyone interested in the benefits of a low carb high fat diet, and the reasons why

AMAZING video on PMB (photobiomodulation) from neuro scientist who holds 3 international patents! PAIN RELIEF and more!
Her name is Dr. Juanita Anders. I Googled her and her list of achievements, awards, and positions in the field of brain research and pain relief .... is too long to list here. *Despite having 3 patents in neuro research... despite her employment with the Defense Department ... the Michael J. Fox Foundation

Anything about LCHF less than 3 years old?
I have just got back to the LCHF lifestyle after putting on quite a bit of weight during the pandemic (comfort eating cakes and biscuits 🙄). I’m reading some posts for encouragement but find they are all from around 3 years ago and wonder if there are any more recent ones? Not that I suppose advice

Zoe - Personalized Food Mapping App
Which eating plan should you adopt? The Liver Diet, The Atkins, The Low Carb high Fat, The FODMAP?? Do any of them work? This question has bugged me for the last 40 years so I bit the bullet and signed up to the Zoe App and testing regime and although I am still waiting for results, quite interesting

Managing Your Condition
I'm due another routine rheumatology appointment in approximately one months time and as usual, a full battery of blood tests are required. I've had PMR for over 3yrs now and spent much time researching my condition and the effects the steroids COULD have on my body! I know we're all well aware of the
