I am going to have 2 weeks intensive leg bandaging in hospital but they want me to have restricted fluids and take diuretics.
Everything I have read about taking
water
tablets to reduce fluid
retention
in lymphoedema patients says it doesn't work and it could even make things worse.

Who am I
This was the first question I asked myself in the process I decided was the way forward for me to keep hold of my life after DX. The process I identified was this ..... Acceptance first then fulfilment. It sounds a bit 'on the couch' kinda stuff, self help book.... I haven't done either, this was

ADHD OR ASPERGERS - ADVICE NEEDED
My son is now 10, but ever since the age of 3 I have known that something was not right with his behaviour and general emotional state. He has struggled for the past 6 years at school and on several occasions has nearly been expelled (only me fighting his corner that has kept him in). We received a diagnosis

Overcoming Tourettes.
Id like to add some positivity onto this page! I am a 21 year old guy, who was first diagnosed with tourettes when i was about 6 or 7 years old. At that time i was the centre of attention from all sorts of medical professionals who came from glasgow to study me and my condition. As much wasnt known about

Anyone else with Asperger's sndrome or autistic spectrum disorder?
I am 67, so this wasn't even recognised when I was atschool, although my parents were called in and told that I "Didn't socialise." I was hopeless at games (dyspraxia).; I loved running the A-level botany shelf and identifying plants, and have had other rather obsessional interests - identifying breeds

Tranylcypromine [Parnate]
I've been prescribed Tranylcypromine for more than twenty years although I haven't needed treatment for Clinical Depression for over fifteen years. My GP would rather I wasn't on it at all because of the problems it causes should I need certain other medications or anaesthesia any time in the future

Help for a Lipo-Lymphoedema Sufferer
Spent years going to the GP to be told that it was
water
retention
, just obesity, etc. Am sure you’ve heard them all. Eventually took matters into my own hands and went delving through the internet for about 3 weeks to find as much information as I could to determine what I was suffering with.

Flucloxacillin - horrible taste! - Little man not impressed!!
Little man is on the above antibiotic for his infected eczema.. Pharmacist warned me it tastes awful but Hugo took the rotavirus vaccine so well thought he would be ok.. well he spits it out, screams and fights when I give it to him! :( I do it tiny bits at a time but he still gets upset and resists

I have a brother who I am responsible for along with my mother. I am have just reached the point of wanting to explode with frustration.....
He has been an incredibly difficult child all his life and we have described him as 'like pushing a bus up a hill', being 'weird' and being 'a bit of a dope' (although he is very bright); because my family is full of eccentric and odd types we though nothing of it but now that he is taking his GCSE's
