Brilliant low fat recipes - Hairy Bikers
Hi, When I was looking for low fat recipes I came across the Hairy Dieters books. I am a foster parent with two teenage children. Because of my recent Gallbladder removal I have had to go on a low fat diet and I cook meals from scratch most days. These books are brilliant, very easy, use ingredients

Supplements vs drugs
Hi everyone I hope you are having a decent Sunday. I was diagnosed with FM in January. My consultant has recommended certain drugs (amyltriptyline and Duloxetine) but I want to try out a natural approach first so see if this works. I'm so sensitive to drugs that I want to avoid taking a daily dose of

Hi has anyone has a BSO in their mid fifties onwards? I have just been found to have a large ovarian cyst and it has to be removed along with my fallopian tubes and ovaries and wondered what this means post menopause in respect of hormones?

Hi I'm a newbie here
I'm Kim 56 yrs old and during a routine lumbar MRI a few weeks back a large 11.5cm cyst was found in my pelvic area. I saw a wonderful gynae specialist last night in a fast track clinic and she has said it has to come out along with my fallopian tubes and ovaries so I am due to have a bi lateral salpingo

Post cholecystectomy. Enlarged gall bladder but no obvious stone. Liver function tests raised. Post op liver function tests all return to normal but positive AMA M2. No other signs or symptoms. Just wondering if M2 could have been positive because of op conditions and now LFTs are normal and any

Go on Living, I Guess!
One of my favorite films is Richard Elfman's 1980 $0 budget release "The Forbidden Zone", which follows the travails of the Hercules family and their friend Squeezit Henderson through a mysterious door in their Venice Beach basement and into the Sixth Dimension, ruled by the tyrannical and self absorbed

Just don't know what to do
Hi all, My doctor tells me I am suffering from anxiety but I'm not so sure, I think it might be depression. It has been going on for about 2 months now, every morning I wake up at about 4am (after having real trouble getting off to sleep) and then I lay there tossing and turning and with an awful feeling

Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis
I've just had a laparoscopy carried out last week, which I'm recovering well from but had a mirena coil fitted to help with the heavy painful periods. They have said that I need to give it at least three to six months to settle down, but have been getting really bad period pains which normally sub-side

Surgical menopause without HRT
I have just heard that my tumours are weakly positive for oestrogen receptivity which means I can't have HRT. I had my operation in October and my menopause systems are awful (hot flushes, terrible mood swings and weepiness, night sweats etc). They are so debilitating that I have not been able to return

Effexor or buspirone or neither??
Who has experience with medication? what worked and what didn't work for you? I also have the option of St johns wort... I don't know which route to go and am terrified of all of them especially after a bad experience with Zoloft. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... thanks
