B12 supplementation query
My active B12 level in 2022 was 66.1 pmol/L and following advice on our wonderful forum I began taking Thorne basic B complex. This raised my levels to 78.6 pmol/L in 2023. This year my B12 level is 76.3 pmol/L. So it hasn't continued to increase to the recommended 100 pmol/L. For the past ten days

can any help??
Hi all, I’ve not been on here in a very long time as I’ve had a lot of family issues. But I’ve had a lot of health problems of late like tiredness, sleep problems etc. so spoke to a new doctor and she suggested I do some bloods. I was wondering if there was someone who could shine a light on them

Once I start supplementing B12, will my B12 blood tests still be accurate?
I would like to know if blood tests will still be a useful measure of my B12 levels, once I have started supplementing B12. I would be testing active B12. The reason I ask is that I have read pernicious anemia people saying that once they start injections (and supplements too maybe), that the B12 blood

Good news - After Endo
Well, what can I say? I went to my Endo appointment on Thursday armed with research papers, questions and my stand on having my thyroid taken out or ablated. Quite surprisingly, I saw a different consultant to the previous one I had seen last year, who sent me a letter stating that if I came back,

Wondering if iron dose age should vary depending on weight please?
Hi I usually take Ferrous fumerate to help with iron levels. I’m wondering if this should vary depending on weight please as when I was ordering Three Arrows which is on its way, it asks for weight to work out a daily dose. Mine came to needing between 20 and 40ish a day. I’ve been & until it arrives

Low appetite
Hi, undiagnosed but strongly suspect hypo possibly Hashi and gathering info/signs etc. Started supplements for folate, vit d (with k) and b complex just about to start magnesium too. On HRT including DHEA. So, my appetite has been on the wane, probably since menopause and thyroid problems began.

Looking for advice for my daughter.
Hi it's me again but this time I'm looking for advice for my daughter who has had Hypothyroidism since a teenager. Now 45. I've told her she needs to increase her thyroxine but thought I would ask the experts. They have never tested her T4 or T3. Her vitamins were tested last in October 2022 which

feelings of palpitations in torso and faint ..
I am new to this sight . Having B12 every 10 weeks since 2019 .. took 2 years to feel better and lose majority of symptoms. Diagnosed with IFA deficiency.. why do I get periods when I feel well and then get a dip even after a B12 jab ? I am wondering if I should be taking folate (folic acid) ? I also

Feeling helpless & hopeless
I dunno what to do anymore. I just turned 39, I was diagnosed around 18 months ago. Tried non-stimulant medication, didn't work, and made my ADHD and the associated depression worse, despite it being an anti-depressant treatment (Strattera/Atomoxatine). Went to adderall, seems to have a minimal effect

I could use some advice for my son's meds.
My eight-year-old son was diagnosed with ADHD about a year and a half ago. I strongly suspected as much for a couple years. He had every symptom. Anyway, we had him on Ritalin at first. I want to say we started at 5mg, which helped a little, but we moved him up to 10 a couple weeks after if I remember

vitamin results help and advice please
hi there, I posted in December to say my GP had reluctantly agreed an increase in my Levothyroxine from 50mcg to 75mcg following a blood test which showed: TSH 2.91 (0.35-5.5) T4 13.9 (10.5-21.0) He also requested some more blood tests and I asked for vitamin D,B12, Ferritin and Folate as per guidance

Folic acid for twins
Hi does anyone know the recommended dose for folic acid if you're pregnant with twins? I'm getting conflicting advice and I'd like to hear from someone who has been through this or been given good advice. Thanks!

NICE Guidelines Delay?
Does anyone have any information about the delay for the publication date of the new NICE B12 guidelines to be moved from next week to early March? I need the new guidelines to fight for reinstatement of my 8 weekly injections which were stopped when I changed to a new surgery which insists on testing

Okay so everyone, After getting so much help from here from you lovely people I have been on a good 3 to 4 week routine of upping my vitamins and supplements. It took me a good amount of time and advise off here to make sure of what vitamins to get and take etc etc. So I was happy and hopeful. Believe
