started my kid on ritalin
hi everyone, i started my son on Ritalin immediate release low dose 2.5mg twice a day, and noticed he’s having trouble sleeping at night. I even tried giving him a melatonin gummy, but it didn’t work. I was wondering if any parents out there could tell me what times worked best to administer the med

Iron Level UP!
Earlier this year my Ferritin level reached nearly 200 and I began to sleep through the night. After a month the effect reduced and I wondered if this was due to using Gentle Iron so I changed back to 2 x 200mg Ferrous Sulphate tablets with Vitamin C every other night. More recently I have little RLS

Update
I have had a telephone consultation with a GP today and drew her attention to the Medicheck thyroid test I’d had done recently. She was quite dismissive of this and said that I needed an NHS one (thyroid function test) which will be done on Friday. I can sort of understand this as there will be traceablity

Does anybody have information on factors affection the absorption / effect of stimulant medication? I already know about the effect of vit C and other acidic foods etc and that alkaline things like bicoarbonate of soda can potentially prolong the effect of medication. I've also read that low zinc levels

Understanding the way forward
I am an 81 year old female. My Thyroid/2nd goitre was removed about 7 years ago. Prescribed Levothyroxine and seemed to recover OK for a while. About 5 years ago experienced tiredness, and a long-standing viral respiratory infection. GP referred me to consultant but usual blood tests etc rated as normal

Left ovary not responding
Hello everyone, I’m on my third round of IVF . Just turned 43. The first two resulted with no eggs being fertilised so I took a break for 4 months and took a new set of vitamins and supplements to improve egg quality ( after reading it begins with the egg) day 7 of my ovuleap and fermadryl stimulation

PA, or just getting older?
I recently came across an article about PA and back pain. I wonder if I can blame my B12 deficiency for my sciatica and wrist tendonitis? I had thought of them as unrelated. In a way this would be good news as it means they might improve as I get my B12 levels back up. PA seems to cause so many symptoms

Watch Out for Vit B12 Deficiency on PPIs & Vit D3
Hi all I had 2 stents in 2020 and as usual was on cocktail of drugs. At present only on 75 mg Apsirin & Ivabradine 5 mg OD along with Omeprozole - PPI 20 mg. Help for my 31 year old son please. First post.
He has just had some blood test results, would appreciate any ideas because of the low Ferritin and Folate. He is a Type 1 diabetic. He became ill in the Spring, had been working very long and unsocial hours in hospitality. He has symptoms of Fibromyalgia and his GP is close to giving him the diagnosis

Intrinsic factor antibody
I'm posting on here as I been advised to. I've just been back to my GP because I had a blood test done the other week for intrinsic factor antibody. I had a result of 3.66 which I thought was positive but my GP just said it's negative ? I had the test done because my vitamins b12 is 211.

New small sub cut needles..
I've recently bought the small needles after advice on this platform to change from IM to Subcutaneous and advised not to pinch skin. However yesterday my daughter was discharged from hospital following surgery and the nurse demonstrated giving blood thinning injections with longer needle pinching
