Multi vitamins - at last some recognition
Hi everyone, I was pleased to see this today - as so many 'authorities' have repeatedly put down the use of multi vitamins as being a waste of money - here is a quite extensive study showing the opposite. I used to see a very highly acclaimed consultant who said exactly the same to me and would test

Advice on Blood results please?
Hi, I'm not diagnosed with any thyroid problems but have had numerous blood tests over the last 4 years because of severe menopause symptoms that have not responded to HRT. Would you be able to have a look and see what you think please? I have also included some of the vitamins tested.

Switching from Levothyroxine to Liothyronine
Hello, I hope everyone is well. I haven’t written on here for a while as I’ve been feeling quite well so hope you don’t mind me coming back to you now. Although I feel good on my current dose of thyroxine and definitely don’t feel I’m taking too much, my endocrinologist wants to lower my thyroxine

Vitamins for PD
Hey all! Just wondering, what general “vitamin pill“ do you recommend for PD? From time to time, I see people talking about Hardy. Wondering if there’s something particularly special about that one? I personally have been using raw one by vitamin code… Any thoughts on this topic? Thanks :-)

Calcium supplements - drawbacks
Was not prescribed calcium supplement or Vit D, taking the latter with K2 following advice from the forum. Now concerned about taking a calcium supplement given that there has been some (old) research indicating that it could be harmful to heart, kidneys and colon! Advice would be welcome. I try to ensure

Ways to add Vitamin K to your diet
I made avocado ice cream this weekend. It makes for a nice creamy dessert since I am non dairy. https://tools.myfooddata.com/nutrient-ranking-tool/vitamin-k-phylloquinone/fruits/highest it doesn’t just have to be prunes

Could anyone tell me the benefit of having both TT4 and Free T4 tested please…just looking at differences in tests and prices please?
Hi, I won’t repeat the question, just wondering if anyone could give me an idea on this please. Obviously a bit of difference between the pricing of the two tests I’m looking at and not sure how helpful that info could be? Im not on anything for thyroid, but tsh has been up and down in past so I keep

Take nothing after Evenity
I finished with Evenity 3 months ago, tried Actonel and Raloxifine to hold on to the gains, both gave me bad migraine. My consultant is now suggesting I take nothing, just Vitamin D, will I hold on to the gains with just Vitamin D? I thought we had to have something to keep the gains.

How long do reserves last?
I stopped self injecting Dec2021 as my level was way over the top score in my blood test. I was OK until the last few months. Does this mean my reserves are used up, as I have been sleeping 12 hours a night and my feet have got more numb. My level was OK last year. I haven't been tested for B12 since

Hi, this is my story
I broke my foot following a fall off a high kerb in August 2021 and should have been referred for a DEXA scan by the minor injuries unit who treated this, but wasn't until I asked my GP for one, following a tip off from a friend who knew that that is NHS guidance. Following the DEXA scan and recommendation

B12 how much and how often
I’ve been struggling with PA for 2 and 1/2 years. No one would listen. Finally from Israel I was advised to get the Intrinsic Factor Antibody Blood Test and the Parietal Cell Antibody Blood Test. Pernicious Anemia. I have to take a shot of Methylcobalamin daily. The Israelis recommend taking a shot
