Starting B12 Injections - What To Expect?
Hi! I am now going to be starting Vitamin B12 injections in a couple of weeks, one every other day for 2 weeks then one every three months. I just wondered what others experiences are with these injections - how quickly did you start to feel better? Any side effects? And how is it after I finish the

new test results and dose review advice.
Hello, I was started on levothyroxine by my GP on the 8th of January following test results that showed hypothyroidism. I had had symptoms for a while snd thought they were perimenopause, but my TSH levels were tested previously and came back ok (as shown by my July 2023 test results) T4 wasn’t tested

Found some old results
From all my test results in my bio, it is known I am a poor convertor. From recommendations within the Group back in 2016 it was felt I needed to add some T3, which my Endo at the time wouldn't do because of my severe anxiety levels and he said it would have to be dosed very carefully. I started the

B vits pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6)
What B vitamins do people take and what brands have pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6) in? What else do people take other than potassium rich diet and B vitamins and what form do you take folic acid in? I've heard it should be folate as folic acid isn't very good? Thanks

Hello Long story short, i was diagnosed Hashimoto's 2020, told to wait for TSH to rise before medication. I've been trying to conceive for years so went back to the GP this year when i found out TSH should be below 2.5 for this, not 5. Most recent tests are: 22/02/24: TSH - 5.01 (0.35- 5.50) T4 -

Folate
I did a full bloods Medichecks test. They have emailed me saying: Unfortunately, they were unable to process your folate biomarker. The results the lab were able to process, will be uploaded once they have been reviewed by a member of the medical team for you. I’m a bit non-plussed as I stopped taking

GP call
Well quite a good discussion with my GP just now! Reiterated my symptoms of B12 deficiency, Folate deficiency, Hypothyroidism, vegetarian and having a gastric band 12 years ago a lightbulb came on! Oh so yes probably good idea for B12 injections! She said she will write to gastroenterologists (I thought

Ferritin Questions
Hi everyone. I self inject b12, 3x per week. I also take a daily dose of methylfolate. In the past both of these have been extremely low, along with very low ferritin. Of late I have wondered if my iron was dropping, so requested bloods a couple of weeks ago. Folate happily is pretty good at 19( at

What deficiencies could B12 injection cause?
Some of you might remember me writing about how, since moving to Pascoe vials from Dr Myhill's multi use vial, I've been experiencing whole of body mini vibrations / electricity / agitation. It's particularly bad in the night and I wake with it. I had worked out that it's tolerable by reducing injection

Folate and B12
Both my Folate and Active B12 are only just over 40% through range. Can anyone recommend good, and hopefully not too expensive, supplements please.

What else to increase T3? Tried everything ...
Hello beautiful people, My latest TSH is 0.66 and had to lower thyroxine just a bit (from 100/88 to just 88) as was getting some hyper symptoms and felt way better with a lower dose, finally have energy and drive again! My T4 is healthy range, 60% through. However, my T3 dropped to just 10% of the range

Metatrexate
I am now back on 15 mil of Metx injection with 20m Pred. followed by folic acid 2 days later.and all seems to be going well and not affecting my blood sugar levels so badly. My B12 was very low so also had a course of injections it seems to be a fine balance between blood pressure, blood sugar levels

Tongue / Graves disease
Can the thyroid affect the tongue? I was borderline again last time and have a blood test end of Feb due to be discharged if ok but I think as I keep being borderline they're not sure what to do with me. As to whether my body is naturally on borderline as I don't really get many of the symptoms Mild

Inflammation and RLS
I have always believed that inflammation was part of my RLS. I believe this because my RLS responds well to ibuprofen. A recent blog was using this study http://www.smj.org.sg/sites/default/files/SMJ-57-514.pdf The study is from 2016. The study proposes to use the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio
