Update
I no longer experienced severe symptoms associated with B12 deficiency after 6 months of injecting 3 mg of Hydroxocablamin three times a day and supplementing methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin 5 mg combined three times a day in sublingual liquid for 8 months. The 3 years +- prior I did improve

Vitamins D and K7
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nine months ago, and prescribed 50mcg levothyroxine per day. No mention was made of Vitamin D results or any related issues like ferritin,or B12. I take Vitamin D 2200iu throughout Winter, and, as of October 23, after some online research, added Vitamin K2, 100 ug.

Where to buy Feb 2024
Hi eveyone. Until now I have bought my B12 1mg/1ml Depot yearly but now it looks like things have changed. My regular German supplier says they no longer deliver to the UK so I have tried a few others with similar outcomes. It also seems like stock is very limited, if any at all. Can anybody recommend

changing from Armour to levo
Hi all I take armour thyroid and have done for over 10 yrs now. I was originally prescribed this by a private doctor but further down the rd I found a way to buy Armour myself so I self medicate. I test my levels regularly (probably every 4-6 months) and I’ve felt in a good place for years. That’s

Tooth Extraction delayed because of risks while on Alendronic Acid
Went for a molar tooth extraction yesterday. It had cracked at the side of an old filling and extraction is the only option. When I told the Dentist I was on Riveroxyban, Steroids and Alendronic Acid, he immediately told me that my extraction will have to be delayed for at least several months while

Vitamin D and Vitamin K Absorption Advice for the Community
Hi Everyone, I was curious about how much fat exactly we need at a meal when taking the fat soluble vitamins D and K so I looked it up. I wanted to share here in case it is helpful to anyone. Research suggests that 11g of fat at a meal is what is needed for optimal absorption of these vitamins. Some

Getting a thyroidectomy soon, what to expect?
Hi, recently diagnosed with a tumour in my thyroid, so team at hospital will be removing the whole thing soon. I am overwhelmed with all this stuff I've been reading here about T4/T3, vitamins, calcium etc. I thought I just had to take a tablet every day, dosage might be adjusted if necessary, but that

question about vitamin levels
I’m Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering When our vitamin levels are at a good level , does that in turn make our thyroid levels mainly our TSH T3 T4 levels to rise when TSH is under range. It just got me thinking as I’m been prescribed folate for 3 months by the doctors & will

Scientific opinion on the tolerable upper intake level for vitamin B6
The new scientific opinion (EFSA) revised in Europe the Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) for vitamin B6 of 12.5 mg/day for adults (including pregnant and lactating women), down from the previous UL of 30 mg/day set in 2000. Still no diagnosis and feeling dosheartened
I felt so certain I had PA but my gp has told me both tests done were normal. My B12 has been between 190 and 246 and that was with supplements but it has always dropped down over the past few years. I’ve been given a 3 monthly B12 and had my first dose but my GP has declined me loading doses even though

Mums-to-be ‘at risk’ from vitamin deficiency
A study published In the Times today said 90% of pregnant women were lacking key vitamins. In fact their headline says vegan diets to blame but I think the problem is much more global than that. It made me think about women with thyroid problems and how much worse it probably is for them and their babies
