Vitamin B1 (thiamin / thiamine) and Prostate Cancer

I have not heard anything that would contraindicate Vitamin B1 (thiamin / thiamine) with respect to Prostate Cancer, and I have heard that it can protect against Chemo related nerve damage. Does anyone else have any information, comments, opinions, links, or questions about Vitamin B1?

B1 and Blood Pressure

Vitamin B1 is the only one recommended by my neurologist. I am reading that B1 can increase my BP. (At what dose, by how much, which number or both)? My diastolic pressure stays below 85, but my systolic pressure can get alarmingly high and is never below 140.

How many mg of Vitamin B1

I want him to try Vitamin B1 again. He tried it only for several weeks a few years back and stopped. I was catching up on reading some posts about vitamin B1. I would like to purchase something from Amazon. I found Solgar B1 500 mg, 100 tablets. I think this is a good brand.

La Roche’s Prasinezumab (“Passadena”) Trial (BN42358)

Furthermore, I am taking tons of supplements such as NADH, spermidine 2mg, 500mg vitamin B1 (thanks to you guys), 600mg Q10, NAC, etc. and, as of recently 1mg of metformin daily. As the beginning of the trial is getting closer, I’m getting more worried about the trial’s potential negative effects.

Interview of Daphne Bryan following the publication of her book: “Parkinson’s and the B1 therapy”.

In 2011, the Italian neurologist Dr Antonio Costantini began treating his Parkinson’s patients with high doses of vitamin B1. As a result, he saw many of their symptoms improve, with no obvious progression in the disease over the five years he worked with them.

Hi, I am seeing all the posts about Vitamin B1 and Niacin. I currently take a dopamine agonist mirapexin and a MAOI Selegeline low dose plus vitamin E, CoenzymQ as prescribed by my neurologist. I also recently started taking vitamin D.

Can Too Much B1 HCL (Thiamine HCL) Cause Hypertension or Other Side Effects?

I realize that many people have benefited from B1 HCL, but I've read on some sites that there is no established upper limit to how much should be taken, and on others that "When the amount of Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine exceeds the normal levels in the body, it can cause hypertension or

Horsetail supplement can Lower Thiamine levels (Possibly affecting HDT protocol)

The enzyme breaks down thiamine, which is also called vitamin B1. When thiamine is broken down, it becomes useless to the body. If you take too much horsetail or take it for a long time, you might not have enough thiamine in your body (thiamine deficiency).

Does anyone have an opinion on the use of Vitamin B1 for treating PD?

I've been recommended to try vitamin B1 by a fellow PD patient and with the dosage of 500mg x 4 per day. Is it okay to start on this dosage? The Hospital under whose care I fall does not want to get involved and says that vitamin B1 has not been proven to assist with allaying the symptoms of PD.

Do any supplements work?

Off the top of my head, I've seen posts on the following: - Vitamin B1 - CoQ 10 - Ceylon Cinnamon - Mannitol - Vanilla - Omega 3 Fatty Acids - Sesaminol/Sesame Seeds - Broccoli Sprout Powder - Mucuna Purens - Resveratrol I'm sure that I've missed many other recommended supplements.

PD and migraines and B2

To cut a long story short, coenzyme forms of vitamin B2 and vitamin B1 are important to say the least in the mitochondrial operations.

So many capsules, tablets, powders to swallow....

I wanted to start high dose vitamin B1 a year ago but I don't even manage to eat and drink enough to absorb what I'm taking. I'm all the time on the edge of dehydration.

A Possible Solution For Men Who Have Acquired Peripheral Neuropathy From ADT or Chemo Use.

Very simply it is the oil/lipid-soluble derivative of vitamin B1 and is absorbed 4 times more than the typical water-soluble form you may get in your typical multi-vitamin. Benfotiamine has been shown to have a 100 times greater increase in Metabolic activity.
