Update to last post.
hi everyone I thought I would give you a update on my last post. Thank you to all that posted it really helped. I have now had an ultrasound on my neck lumps. I was told I had a very small thyroid and this happens when you have been on Levo for so long (30 years) I’ve never heard of this, has anyone

Some help
While not a cure I have found that vitamin B12 helps. My feet are less painful since I started taking it in spite of not really believing in it!

Is there a chat network for people with osteoporosis in England?
I have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis and my Dr prescribed Alendronic Acid 70 mg once a week, but after reading the side affects of taking it am unsure whether to take them. So far I have only broken my wrist bone about ten years ago when I had a fall, I have small aches and pains and have neuropathy

How reliably does NHS retest Blood iron levels after IV Iron?
my new NHS gastroenterologist ordered my iron infusion when my GP alerted her to what they are calling complex iron deficiency blood test results, some longstanding. I was given Ferinject on April 11th. The infusion appointment letter says: the physician who is looking after you may follow up with

This led me to believe that I had to consider absorption issues when taking oral supplements. I over reacted to the term

Trazodone
Hi , after trying very hard to navigate depression without drugs I have now just started Trazodone . Taking Gabapentin successfully, only mild RL . Had every dopamine drug for many years and now completely free of them for at least 6 months . My question is although Trazodone is deemed not to affect

Functional B12 diagnosis query
Hi, Can anyone advise me what kind of specialist is needed in the UK to diagnose Functional B12 deficiency? My GP practice doesn’t seem to know. After a frustrating few months waiting weeks for phone appointments, we are still no further on with being able to access B12 injections under medical supervision

Tributes to Dr Joseph Chandy, RIP ... ☹️ 😥 😢- the PEOPLE'S B12d identifying, & treating CHAMPION.
There are MANY ways in which tributes may be paid to celebrate the life & notable dedication to patient/service user care, of the late Dr JC. His funeral details are on another recent thread, that being on 12noon on Friday 12 January 2024: https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/150369759/dr-chandys-funeral-friday

Duty Reclaim - Ongoing Saga!
Hi All 26 days ago I posted about my shock at receiving a charge from customs. I made a reclaim based on that the B12 was for personal use and I received this reply: "[i]I am currently assessing your BOR286 refund request for your shipment of Vitamin B12 injectable Hydroxocobalamin. This shipment

3 Months of EOD B12 Injections
Hi I have been doing EOD sub cut injections of Hydroxycobalamin for 13 weeks now. The peripheral neuropathy in my feet has not improved. If anything it might be worse, but that could be from something else. Have I given this long enough to rule lack of B12 out or do I need to keep going? Some

Low iron, supplementing with 3 Arrows
Hi everyone, I posted about a week ago after having iron studies done through the NHS, it came back that I wasn’t iron deficient enough to be treated by a doctor, but my levels were definitely low enough to start treatment since I’m already experiencing symptoms and don’t want to get worse….. Latest

HNY!... and a warning for those who lead busy lives (aka all of us)
Firstly, I'm conscious I haven't posted in a while. 2023 has been a tumultuous and stressful year for me personally which involved a very close family member being diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year and much of my life for the next 6 months revolving around that. It's not why I'm here, but

I will try and keep this as short as possible. 21 years ago GP diagnosed PA and up until 3 years ago I had B12 injections every 12 weeks. 3 years ago the CCG instructed GP's to cut down giving injections to anyone unless they had PA. My jobsworth GP decided to give me a blood test, which was in range

How do you obtain B12 injections in Australia? There seems to be a serious scarcity. Does anyone know an outlet .?
