Anyone had an iron infusion
My husband has CLL and has a problem with low B12 and folate. urge to urinate, with pink in pee
Had an iron infusion and started B12 injections EOD a week ago, and today have strange sensation in bladder and sudden urge to pee, and it was pink. I have read that extra b12 can cause this. What are peoples experiences. I hope it is just excess B12 and nothing more sinister.

Which medicine is messing with my thyroid med uptake
Might anyone be able to suggest which of my other meds has affected my thyroid med uptake (100mcg thyroxine and 2x5mcg t3)? I was prescribed digoxin, furosemide and bisoprolol after having open heart surgery 3 mths ago to resolve some anatomical defects. Uptil that point thyroid levels were stable

I asked ChatGPT about Fosamax. How does the medication Fosamax fake your DEXA score?
This was the reply. Fosamax (alendronate) is a bisphosphonate medication used to treat and prevent osteoporosis. It works by inhibiting bone resorption, which is the process where bone is broken down and its minerals are released into the bloodstream. Here’s how Fosamax can influence Dexa (Dual-energy

magnesium
I have been taking vit D and K2 for a while now and have been told that I should be taking magnesium to help with the absorption , only not sure which one to take, there’s so many . A friend has recommended magnesium bisglycinate , which I’ve not heard of. Also I’ve read that taking magnesium can interfere

Methionine restricted diet for recurring PSA and positive PMSA pet scan w/ 1 bone met
quick to the point. PSMA pet showed 1 L2 small met and some lymph activity. My PSA went from 2.01 to 2.9 in one month. after doing some research on diets and supplements . How long does a coeliacs blood test take to come back?
Exactly that! I had bloods done on Friday lunch time, including a FBC, B12, folate, and ferritin. Also Coeliac screen (TTG). All the others are back but not the coeliac screen yet. Is that usual?

11yo latest results
Hello All, Here are my daughters latest results, I’m still battling with GP plus NHS consultants to get anywhere. She has only been off any B12/folate for 5 weeks (she does eat B12 fortified foods) but has been taking iron. Her medical history is low platelets but she obviously also has hashimotos.

Opinion on my B12 and folate tests, and what are ideal levels?
I got the results back for my b12 and folate a few days ago. My folate is low, so I have changed my diet to get my folate up that way. I can't tolerate any supplement form even in small doses (folate, folinic, folic acid etc). What about my active b12 - Monitor My Health says it is fine, is that right

Hi, just got my test results back. Would those who have more blood test result interpreting experience than I please comment on them. I asked for full blood count and iron panel, do these tests align with that request? I asked that B12 be excluded as I SI EOD. I take a magnesium supplement at 300mg,

Why do GP like to group everything as depression and anxiety?
