Peak flow keeps dropping debating a trip to A&E it's currently at 230 asthma plan says if it goes below 210 then go. I'm feeling really rubbish had two salbutamol nebs which have not helped and loads of ventolin inhalers plus topped up with extra fostair ... Doing everything I've been told.

hi go to the hospital now better to be safe i have asthma and am on a nebuliser .please just go ,let me know how u get on ,
I just got back from A&E had some nebs and I'm feeling a lot better thanks for your concern
Hi I am glad you are feeling a lot better now. It just shows it was the right thing to do so well done. x
Its better to be safe then sorry, I would go to A&E just to at least get checked out. By the time you get there your peak flow could have potentially have dropped even further.
Thanks I went they gave me more salbutamol and atrovent nebulisers oh and Prednisolone of course for the next few days, I see my asthma nurse on Friday so I will see what he says about the dosage they gave me ... Thanks for your reply
Hi hope you feel ok but your post is exactly why I came on here tonight I don't have an asthma plan I'm on my nebuliser and antibiotics I've had lung surgery so I'm missing 1/3 of my right lung can anyone tell me is pk 200 too low after nebuliser treatment of 2.5ml if I do 5ml pk goes up but not by much. I have a hayfever induced infection and liquid in my lung from my operation but been told it shouldn't bother me i had a severe attack on Friday night the 5ml nebuliser works but only for the time until the next one do I need hospital?
Hi Wintersbite, I have an asthma plan and for me below 220 is bad. Everyone is different but if you feel your struggling then please get help. Things tend to get worse suddenly and You need to take care x I wish you well x
I'm good now thanks. I'm always reluctant to go to A&E but. I am glad I did tonight has some atrovent nebuliser which seems to have sorted me out .. I hope you went too and that your feeling better soon x
Good to hear I have a home nebuliser I have just taken it and I put it up to a 5ml instead of the 2.5ml just done my peak flow and it's up to 240pk which is still odd my husband says I look red not blue so low oxygen seems unlikely going on what he says if it's still rough in the morning I will do as told it's just I don't have a asthma plan and I'm guessing with an infection in a way I'm hoping I can last until I see my lung doctor on June 7th but can't see that happening but thanks for the advice my guess is 300pk which I believe is a child's reading
Hi, I have nebs at home and asthma with allergies. If your feeling rough and not improving with all meds then go A & E. They might not even keep you in but its better than sitting at home worrying. My asthma nurse told me that its better to go in before you I get so bad I have to be kept in. Don't worry about putting them out or not being bad enough. They are there to stop you getting bad. I wish you well and I hope you start feeling ok soon xx
