A quick question???
Hi all just want to ask a question I'm on day 6 of 3 weeks of tapered down pred and I've got to say over the last few days I've felt better than I have since being diagnosed (Dec 15) but I'm still waking up coughing in the morning at times 5am although once I take seretide and pred things seem to settle

Omalizumab and asthma worsening
Hi I've been on xolair 2 years 4 injections every 2 weeks. For several weeks I've had worsening of my asthma symtoms which they class as unstable and the respiratory nurse who gives my injections in the hospital doesn't seem to agree. I have never coughed and it's keeping me awake, blood tests normal

Rant
Hi All, I just though I'd share my scary encounter with my respiratory team. Saw the cons on Friday, she rocked up an hour late and was in a foul mood, tried to tell her I was unwell, (big morning dips, loads of Ventolin and chest pain), was told I should probably be on oral pred, but she was too busy

Do asthma meds cause sleep problems?
Since a few days back I am taking far more ventolin than usual. (I am now also on prednisolone. ) Do other people find that using ventolin up to four times daily can affect sleep? My sleep has been poor e last few days (not helped by waking up from a noisy chest yesterday 4am, or from coughing today

CB..What?
Got Mum up Friday morning for her hair wash ready for the hairdresser's visit in the afternoon. I took her through to the bathroom on the commode as per usual and popped her feet into a bowl of water to give them a soak. I suddenly heard her breathing change and when I looked at her I honestly thought

Another basic question
I am sorry to ask so many basic questions, but I am learning and I find your responses helpful, so I hope you will bear with me. Last weekend I was in Sweden. It was very hot there (the heat that came here a bit later) and the pollen count was very high. Any bit of water was covered with the stuff. I

Another pollen question
I have just been to a extended family get together in Sweden, and when I arrived there it was really hot and pollen count was exceptionally high I was told. I am not a hay fever sufferer, though my eyes can certainly react to allergens. But my chest felt tight basically all the time, and I used ventolin

Another one needing some basic advice
I am in the process of trying to learn to recognise when I have a problem. Recently I got a bad chest infection, but I didn't recognise myself how bad it was. I have since been told by several people that they noticed I could not speak a whole sentence without breathing in the middle, but I didn't notice

Wheezy Again
Peak flow keeps dropping debating a trip to A&E it's currently at 230 asthma plan says if it goes below 210 then go. I'm feeling really rubbish had two salbutamol nebs which have not helped and loads of ventolin inhalers plus topped up with extra fostair ... Doing everything I've been told.
