Any asthma sufferers relate ? I don’t yet know my diagnosis
Hi. I’m very worried and confused. I ended up in a and e with difficulty breathing early December. I thought I had pneumonia or bronchitis. A chesty wheeze started mid November. It hasn’t gone away since. It is there day in; day out when I exhale. I can hear my chest rattling. I do not and have never

Dear Friends, from Steve, on behalf of my (still) gorgeous wife, Margaret. We both wanted to wish you all a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and in addition Margaret and I want to thank you sincerely for all the kind support you gave her a few months ago. Margaret has been taking Forsteo

Relvar Elipta
I am on Relvar Elipta once a day, but am finding that it only works for about two to three hours, no more, I also take Spiriva once a day and Ventolin when needed. Does anyone else have this problem with Relvar, I seem to spend my life being breathless these days

Chalk and Asthma
Has anyone else had a reaction to chalk? I work in a primary school and the children were using chalk today colouring in snowmen. I walk into the classroom and had an immediately reaction. I started coughing and had to leave the room. Four puffs of ventolin put me right. I must admit I was suprised

Post Covid
Morning all, I am a 63 year old woman who developed Asthma when I turned 50 years old. I always have an awful cough, which people used to feel they could comment on and Pat me on the back. Since Covid I just get stares from people instead which now makes me feel very uncomfortable to go out in the

Inhaler change
I have just been sent a message by my GP to say they are changing my inhaler from ventolin to Salamol. Is there a reason for this and is Salamon just as good as Ventolin 🤷♂️

Cold and asthma
After the second cold in as many weeks my asthma has been trigger again. With the first cold after 3 days I ended up taking a 5 day course of my rescue steroids. My peak flow had drop and I started to experience a tight chest. I used ventolin every 4 hours too Now I find myself in the same position

Salbutemol Versus Ventolin
Would like to know what other people think about Salbutemol inhaler versus Ventolin. I have always found Ventolin to be the better option for me even though they are supposed to be exactly the same

Moved Montelukast to morning, worse symptoms
I've recently started taking my montelukast in the morning rather than the evening as it was causing very strange, vivid dreams. The dreams are now gone, but my asthma control has got noticeably worse, needing Ventolin regularly throughout the day. Has this happened to anyone else before?

Updated health
Just had a review with my respiratory consultant and they are happy that the azithromycin and montelukast combination are working. So will be on that over the winter months. My peak flows have increased slightly which is also good news. I am tolerating the fostair 200/6 so will be on that long term

Turbo Steroid Inhaler
I was asthmatic from being young to about 18 then it disappeared for 40 years. After a general anaesthetic in May I suffered breathing problems particularly at night. I was given a ventolin inhaler which helped for a few hours. After 2 months I was given a turbo inhaler, 2 puffs twice a day. This

In need of advice
Hi, I had a bad asthma flare on Monday. GP put me on prednisolone. 4 days later and still struggling, coughing fits every 20mins, chest tightness and finding breathing tiring. Had 8 puffs of Fostair and 9 puffs of ventolin today and still struggling. GP told me to go to A&E as I needed a nebuliser. No

Ventolin and other Inhalers
When I was a child ( a little one!) I had fairly constant asthma. At the age of 11 I was diagnosed as having a strong allergy to feathers and wool, among other things. Of course, when I had asthma my mother would wrap me in bedding - wool blankets, feather quilt. Feather pillows. D'oh. At around that

Inhalers stopped until next year
My ventolin has been stopped until next year. I've been getting inhalers regularly all year and they have advised that I up my Kelhale - which when I do, I need more ventolin because it irritates me, they know this but now my ventolin has been stopped until january next year. I don't know what to do

Ventolin and asthma meds
Sorry if I’m asking loads of questions on here but I’m very confused and scared x I’m asthmatic, have been for years and now the slightest amount of ventolin is sending me into AF straight away so I’m almost choosing between the breathing or heart problems, this is horrible lasting for hours not minutes

Had anyone tried Mullein tea and black seed oil for asthma?
Has anyone here, living with asthma or copd, tried drinking Mullein tea daily and taking black seed oil daily? It seems to have really helped shift mucus on my chest and therefore helped my breathing considerably. Mucus and crackling sounds when I exhaled we’re always a problem and always used to block

SP02% readings
So when I spoke to the doctor about the nebuliser situation a few weeks (or whatever) ago he mentioned monitoring my SP02%. Now normally mine is around 96-98%, occassionally higher. Usually only goes lower during attacks (e.g. been at 78% before, not uncommon for me to go to 88% and lower when in bad
