Morning all, I am a 63 year old woman who developed Asthma when I turned 50 years old. I always have an awful cough, which people used to feel they could comment on and Pat me on the back. Since Covid I just get stares from people instead which now makes me feel very uncomfortable to go out in the public.

Four weeks again I contracted Covid-19. It did not affect my breathing much but I had severe stomach pain and joint pain. I didn’t really start coughing anymore than normal until the final days but I could cope well with my inhalers.

I had my third jab last Wednesday (Moderna) and since then my cough has gotten much worse and I have had an incredibly irritated throat ( as a result I have had to used my Ventolin many times) and my whole body is burning with itching. Has anyone else had a reaction like this?

Yes. My daughter had a similar reaction. Aches and pains, sore throat and terribly itchy skin. She took paracetamol for the aches and pains and used hydrocortisone cream for the itching.

Isn’t it really awful these days that anyone with a cough gets the look. I have cough variant asthma asthma but wear a mask as much as possible to stop people accusing me of having Covid.

I have a cough for 6 years and is terrible and the dirty looks some people give.it bothered me years ago but not now.

I have a night time cough and it’s worse after taken inhalers in the morning then clears - I’ve had comments from people like ‘you need to get that cough looked at’ and ‘oh dear that doesn’t sound too good’ etc etc - I’ve given up explaining now

My asthma started at 50 years (during menopause) - I’m 64 now .I had flu like symptoms after the astraZeneca jab and slight symptoms after the booster (Phizer) My asthma didn’t seem to be affected by either vaccine
