I would really appreciate some advice. I have a diagnosis of mild Eosinophilic Asthma. I had an asthma attack in March this year. I required three lots of Prednisone and antibiotics to recover. I’m also on Fexofenadine 180mg, Flixonase, Esomeprazole 40mg and Sucralfate, Montelukast, Fostair 200 and

Trelegy Ventolin
Hi, I have lately switch my inhailer Trimbow to Trelegy ,I'm am a bit confused as I've just googled Trelegy, it says if you are using Ventolin four times a day only use Ventolin when needed, does this mean cut your Ventolin down or if you need it four times a day, I'm wondering now if this is to much

A few medical issues since starting DuoResp Spiromax 160/4.5 Budesonide/formoterol three weeks ago
Hello there, I still have not had a diagnosis for my bronchiectasis like symptoms; my chest x-rays showed scarring in march, but are now all clear now. Since my last serious chest infection earlier this year I have been perfectly healthy, active, cough and asthma free, only taking Fostair 100/6 four

Changes in review regimes.
I had a curious experience, and probably a good one. My normal review time is April , once a year, except, of course, whend something is up. However, I was asked to do another one with a pharmacist just the other day. It turns out our surgery group (a big one in York) has decided to do 3-6 monthly medication

Peak flow increased by inhalers
I've had asthma all my life and more recently got referred to a specialist due to my asthma being not controlled. The doctor has been amazing and I feel my asthma has been taken seriously. I used to take seretide 2 puffs twice a day, and ventolin when needed. My peak flow used to be at my very best 360

Trelegy
Hello Annie. My lovely doctor started me on Trelegy six months ago. It continues to be very effective. I'm especially glad to be away from the complications of the two plus Ventolin I was on. I rarely need the Ventolin but if I do that's all right too. I find it great not to be so stressed about it all

And another meds change.....
Well I stuck with the trimbow for 4 weeks and found it didn't really work for me. The effects had worn off by early afternoon and my breathing was awful although my mucus was looser and much easier to shift. On the upside since coming off fostair all my muscle pains and cramps vanished. So after chatting

Fostair 200 as reliever?
Hi, hope it's OK to ask this. I recently changed from relvar 184 1 puff od to fostair 200 2 puffs bd as my asthma wasn't well controlled following having covid 6 weeks ago. My peak flows had gone back to my usual of 450 and my cough had improved. This week I've picked up another respiratory virus

Cambridge masks
I have two Cambridge masks, one about three years old and one about 6 months. I have an increasing problem with indoor air pollution, from cooking fumes, wood burners, candles, air fresheners etc. I have found that my first one can really be a boon when I encounter these things and I can feel the warning

Alternative to Fostair - Palpitations
I was switched to Fostair 100/6, 4 puffs a day (& Montelukast) a year ago after a nasty bout of Covid worsened my Asthma, was on Clenil & ventolin for many years before switching. The Fostair improved my symptoms hugely, no more cough & crackles but I have had increasing palpitations & arrythmia, causing

Smoked with Asthma, Duh 🤦🏻♂️Did you?
Here’s an open, honest and frank story. This isn't a pity me story just an opportunity to vent with a like minded group. Its not every day we get to meet those who can relate to our plight. As a young child I had mild enough asthma but I did end up in hospital at about 6 years of age for a few days.

Asthma decline
Hi, I was wondering if someone could advise me. I have been struggling with hoarseness and breathlessness for a while now. My asthma had been relatively controlled most of my life and quite atypical in symptoms. I only ever really had a barking cough and tight chest, worse at night, and very very occasionally

Night sweats
Hi All, Hope you are keeping well. The last few weeks I’ve had a few nights where I have been waking up drenched in sweat. I take ventolin and get back to sleep okay and then the next day I’m very fatigued and achey. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and whether it’s likely asthma related

I was wondering….
I am currently on Dulera and Singulair. For rescue, I take Ventolin. The last appointment I had with my asthma team, the pulmonologist added Qvar to my Dulara. Singulair and Ventolin stayed the same. Has anyone had puffers added to their everyday maintenance puffers, and what classification would this

Post chest infection
I had a chest infection last week and this led to an asthma attack I got some good advice. The antibiotics and steroids are starting to work and after discussing with my gp I am returning to work tomorrow. Have to pace myself and carry my ventolin with me. Thanks to all who gave me excellent advice

Update on appointment with consultant at severe asthma clinic
Hi, hope you’re all ok. I just thought I’d share my experience and ask for your opinions and advice 🤗 So, I thought the consultation was a bit one sided and it felt a bit rushed 🤔, but maybe that’s me expecting more of a chat.😆 He didn’t cover much about my asthma history just saying ‘has it just
