Advice with different blood tests
I am getting blood tests for selenium, zinc, calcium, parietal and endomysial antibodies. I don’t supplement any of these currently except for eating high selenium Brazil nuts. Should I stop this before and if so how long? Is there anything I should be aware of before testing for them in order to

Probably Alc Cirrhosis...What Now?
Hello everyone, Tl;dr- caught off guard by what I should have known was possible, looking for pointers on dealing with the inevitable end stage. Sorry about the long post--I don't have my official diagnosis yet, but see where it's headed and thought I would share my story. Been drinking heavily for

Did running make you change your diet?
So being a vegi runner caught up with me recently, and my runs got really sluggish during the end of Jan and the first 2 weeks of Feb. It turns out it was due to a lack of nutrients mostly iron, B12 and calcium. I since have adjusted my diet to include loads of greens and taking calcium suppliments

Beginning of a flare or arthritis?
Seeking some input...have been very slowly tapering (0.5mg every 4-6 weeks), now on 6mg. Over the past 2 weeks I've had increasing stiffness and pain in my hands and loss of strength, and also in my left knee. I normally walk every day but I'm experiencing a lot of fatigue. Could this be arthritis

Magnesium and thyroid issues
Has anyone tried increasing their magnesium intake to help their body to heal? This would help readjust the balance in the body between calcium and magnesium as they work as antagonists (work in balance with each other). Magnesium is used in hundreds of processes in the body so if we don't have enough

Blood test results.
Hi wonder workers! following my blood test of 2 weeks ago at 9.20 am I was surprised to find a printout in mailbox from the Endocrinologist. So basically many tests that were low or below range are now high. I will mostly include those tests that are now low or high. There is no blood sugar or cholesterol

I've been MIA because of duress. I wrote about a week ago and want to thank everyone for their responses. I'm on overload and in an altered state since we are trying to once again customize my husband's pain management treatment. He's been on oxycontin and oxycodone along with gabapentin. We are in

Liver and Kidney Ultra-sound Results
I have a call with my doctor later today to discuss my results. I was sent for an ultra sound scan back in September 2020, and I had this done on 11th February 2021 some 5 months later. Gabapentin works!
I also found Bentyl for my stomach cramps and
Valium
for the awful muscle spasms. I never thought I would take so many drugs but I also never thought I would be in a fight with a beast I couldn’t see or hear! Has it been hard to adapt? Hell yes! But giving up is not an option! Don’t quit.

painful ankle this morning
Woke up to a slightly swollen tender to touch ankle. I didnt injure it although I did bruise the opposite side a month ago. Just wondering if its calcium deposit or could steroids do this? I'm currently tapering to 5.5 mg prednisone. im concerned too if it couldbe an infection.

Chapter 17. I dream of the revolution that must come... 2/2.
This is chapter 17 of a book I published in 2015, "A Different Way of Looking at Parkinson's. Almost 20 years of experience with my father's disease (1994-2012)" (only in Spanish). Although we have learned a lot more since that year, I think it can still be useful to most sufferers and family members

Alendronic acid tablets
Although I was diagnosed with PMR over a year ago I was not prescribed alendronic acid tablets until a month ago due to an oversight at the surgery However I have not responded well to these tablets at all with even worse reflux and mouth ulcers over the following 24 hours. I take 40mg of esomeprazole

Just had phone call from Endocrinologist.
I got a letter from the Endocrinologist last month asking me to come in to see him in person. I got the impression that he had had a call from 'Monitor my health' - as he knew the name of the lab as he was checking his PC, also because I had been dismissed, & suddenly I got a letter out of the blue.

Reintroducing dairy
Has anyone had any luck reintroducing dairy? I'm gluten, dairy and soy free after reading Dr.Wentz's books and chats on here. I try and eat whole foods (although do occasionally slip up) and am happy to report I am losing weight. I have started to eat meat because of the hair loss whereas before I
