Magnesium for Graves

Has anyone tried increasing their magnesium intake to help their body to heal? This would help readjust the balance in the body between calcium and magnesium as they work as antagonists (work in balance with each other).

Magnesium is used in hundreds of processes in the body so if we don't have enough of it in there something is bound to miss out! Magnesium deficiency cannot be seen from a blood test as only 1% of the body's magnesium is in the blood with 99% being in cells. This means magnesium deficiency is often missed altogether by medical practitioners. mdpi.com/2072-6643/10/9/120...

It's becoming apparent to me that all autoimmune conditions could just be manifestations of excess calcium in our body where there is simply not enough magnesium to process out excess calcium, so it gets kinda 'stuck' in the body causing different symptoms. Everyone’s body will decide what to do about its chronic magnesium deficiency and what will be compromised on hence why there are so many different diseases. Here is a doctor's study into magnesium deficiency and cardiovascular disease who thinks magnesium deficiency is already a global health crisis: openheart.bmj.com/content/5...

Had you noticed that you feel better eating foods that are higher in magnesium than calcium (eg fish, steak, seeds, nuts or meat) rather than just high magnesium foods like spinach or broccoli which also have higher calcium in them? Do you notice a reduction in your symptoms after having an epsom salts bath or from taking magnesium supplements?

I'm thinking about doing a crowd fund to get this properly looked at as cannot imagine that pharma would want to do a study into this so it may have to stem from us in the autoimmune community ourselves.

Lots of love and peace for your healing journey however that looks like to you
