Vagifem

About 4 years ago I started Vagifem because of recurrent cystitis, urine infections, which has helped a lot. All thoughts on my medical problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

He has just agreed for me to increase vagifem from twice a week to four times a week. Even so, it is such a minimal amount of oestrogen, I fear it'll take years for me to get better - even assuming that's the answer. Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.

My blood tests have been good ( for me) over the past year: TSH - 0.8 T4 - 16.4 T3 - 5.0 Vit D - 98 B12 - 644 Folate - 11.7 Recently I have been started on topical estrogen (Vagifem). Since this I have progressively felt more and more tired.

I have Hashimotos and wonder if that's contributing and also vaginal atrophy for which Vagifem has been prescribed. Any advice would be most welcome.

Has anyone suffered aching pain in left arm sometimes right arm like a toothache came on last few days ..sometimes pain killers dont take it off wondering if its arthritis kept me awake all night just started taking vagifem pesseries but I cant thjnk its them so soon and they say its topical so shouldnt

I have a ring pessary, which has worked up until now and use Vagifem as well. I'm 68. My question is does a hysterectomy work ?

anybody respond using vagifem tablets vaginally how soon anyone was seeing improvement 10 micrograms

Doctor prescribed Vagifem and has referred me to gynaecologist but don’t know when this would be because of COVID-19. Doctor said yesterday that cervix looked a bit red and inflamed and I wondered if this may be the cause of me up every hour during the night to pee.

But not itchy smelly sore or at all greasy like Vaseline,is this normalish peri menopause ups and downs or the Vagifem, no problems with Vagifem apart from this odd discharge

Doc diagnosed vaginal atrophy, and have been taking vagifem for three months, but still have background burning/sensitivity, which I never experienced before UTI. Re-test for infection negative. Would go to GP if essential, but not easy in current circs.

This is despite taking localised oestrogen in the form of vagifem and oestrogen cream. My medication was 150mcg T4 in June and 5mcg T3 and my blood results were the best T4 I ever had.

I was then wondering if anyone had any experience with this Vagifem treatment and can relate...

I tried vagifem, still suffering I booked a consultant appointment, decided to pay as couldn't cope any more. After examination told me it was pressure from the bowel due to constipation. Things apeared to settle but always nervous about finding a loo. A yr later it's flared up again.

Has anyone who was prescribed vagifem found it increased headaches and migraines. On google it’s a side effect, my GP says no, my head def unhappy. However overdue Botox due to covid. Other uncomfortable symptoms, but head bonkers just now.

I am unable to use vagifem and estriol; the discharge burns and causes so much discomfort. I am due to see a pelvic floor dermatologist in a couple of days and I want as much information as I can. Thankyou very much; this website has been a huge help for me.

As suggested here I've spoken to my local pharmacist and she said, because it's absorbed locally and only twice a week, using alongside Pred should be ok. 🤞 Thanks for helpful replies. It's a pharma minefield out there.

Have started using Vagifem pessaries this week. I have had this problem for over a year I am 83. How long will I need to use the Vagifem and is it safe?

I have been prescribed Vagifem. Has anyone else use it and does it work

I have seen various bodies, had a Pudendal nerve block, taken Gaberpenten, Amitriptyiline, am on HRT, am using Vagifem and Ovestin cream. I also have Lichen Planus on my vaginal lips, but the Trimovate is making no difference.
