Hi all, am new here as am at my wits end trying to find a way forward with my ongoing issues. I was diagnosed with vaginal atrophy 4 years ago ( since found out due to a lack of oestrogen) even though I was on HRT. As I was bleeding I was taken off my HRT until they could eliminate any nasties. This made my atrophy worse, and the beginning of all my other issues. I have seen various bodies, had a Pudendal nerve block, taken Gaberpenten, Amitriptyiline, am on HRT, am using Vagifem and Ovestin cream. I also have Lichen Planus on my vaginal lips, but the Trimovate is making no difference. The pain in my rectum is increasing, and generally all my pain is raised after urination. Sitting is painful, and washing myself ( using epiderm ) increases the pain too. I am located in Cornwall ( England) and am desperate to locate a pelvic pain clinic that can treat me as a whole/person, as am getting nowhere with my current hospital. Can anyone recommend anywhere in the country ( willing to travel )where I can get help as am totally depressed as this pain is totally ruining my life. Also any Physiotherapists in Cornwall who can help would be great as my NHS actually don’t have one !

Vaginal pain, anal pain, nearly 4 years on and feeling desperate!
I have the rectal pain now 10 months and we are calling it pelvic floor dysfunction with pudental nerve involvement....I am on cyclobenzaprine which helps and pt has helped but I feel like there is more to it....they say you can get nerve centralization sensiv ity where the brain sends pain signals amplified even when there is no reason for pain...it's so complicated!I also had urogenital atrophy when I was in menopause ..my whole body crashed got thyroid issues ruptered appendix ec.been using genital hormone cream ever since but here 10 years on and now this pfd!!! ugh... I was thinking I may go on complete hormone hormone therapy see if that helps....had to chime in even though I am in the states I am from England...I hope you find a good pt....and a good pain center
