Vaccines and relapses
Since my 2nd Pfizer shot on August 4th my GCA has flared up, the first time in 4 years and my PMR flared up pretty bad but has calmed down now. Then this past Monday I have come down with some sort of "bug" which actually landed me in the hospital for a day; the doctors think it could be pancreatitis

Querying Pegasus dose
Hi everyone I’d be really grateful to hear from anyone who has experience of Pegasys lowering their counts below normal but no reduction in dose being recommended. I’m JAK2+and have a diagnosis of PV through a BMB but it was high platelets (800ish) and an enlarged spleen that led to investigation. I’

Covid vaccines
Obviously from JPnSD's recent post it appears that many/most of you believe in the vaccines. Up until April of this year Thailand was doing great in comparison to most of the world; however, just recently new infections are averaging 20,000/day with 250 to 300 deaths. Very few people were vaccinated

Dos’ & Don’ts’ for CLLers.
I’m a bit apprehensive about this post, but it’s about a wish list of dos and don’ts that dummies like me would cherish. It would be great if people in the know of things would build up on something like this. Perhaps segregating this wish list into W&W group and Treatment group may also be considered

Adjuvants in Vaccines and AITD

On the end of COVID Restrictions: the CLL patient’s dilemma
We are told that, as CLL patients, we continue to be at risk from COVID even if we are vaccinated. Yet the world is opening up, despite the Delta variant. Do we keep isolating to stay safe? However, this has its own risks in terms of our mental health as well as our social and family relations to us

In addition we have funded research into COVID
vaccination
which was the first in the world to demonstrate MPN patients can form natural immunity to COVID and to demonstrate vaccine responses as well as the 1000 patient survey on vaccine outcomes… watch this space for more exciting research information

Bicuspid valve - does it make you more at risk of getting a bad dose of COVID-19?
I’m fully vaccinated but wondering how much Covid can still affect you if have a bicuspid valve. I am 48 with a “moderate level” so under regular 6 monthly reviews but ok health wise at the moment. I’m nervous about returning to the office even though I want to get back to normal!

Study reveals how immune system reacts to COVID-19 variants.
It suggests
vaccination
is more effective than the body’s natural immune response following infection and shows the need to invest in new vaccine designs to keep pace with emerging COVID variants.

Covid can f*** off.
Today I learned that my housemate (my best friends brother) is positive for covid and that my mother and father are also possibly positive for covid. My father has been exposed at work by several people and so that means he’s exposed my mother to it as well. She’s been sick and getting worse and I only

Testing for immune response
It has been said many times Antibody Tests don't really give us much information about out immunity levels. Is there any test we with CLL can take to give us a measure of how much immunity we have? What group i.e. Watch and Wait or currently being treated are doing best after being vaccinated after

Ocrevus
Can anyone on Ocrevus please tell me how early you started feeling a crap gap? My infusion was a little over four months ago and my walking and vision is really bad. About a month ago I was diagnosed with Covid (I had been vaccinated it was a breakthrough case) and the walking got worse at that time

Enough is enough
I am disappointed that a couple of people here are judging others on the choices they make, this place is an amazing place to come and share our stories, fears, anxieties or merely just to find a little comfort, but those who judge people are potentially preventing others from coming forward and asking
