PMR and vaccination
The onset of PMR that I have suffered is undoubtedly linked to the administration of the Covid booster at the same time as the Influenza vaccine. Exploration of the research data reveals that there is a low incidence of adverse auto immune reaction; sufficiently low to discount. Now however one learns

4th covid booster
The relaxation of the covid rules today will make it much more difficult for us to avoid contracting the disease so my feelings are that
vaccination
is key to avoiding serious illness despite not knowing what the long-term effects of so many vaccinations will be.

Finally got “it” !
I have been on prednisone for 5 years and I’m currently taking 8 mg. I have been very cautious since COVID hit and my wife and I managed to avoid getting sick. Well, at least up until 2 days ago. We both felt like we were coming down with a cold so we decided to perform a home test. Much to our surprise

Lifesaving COVID drugs are sitting unused on pharmacy shelves, HHS data shows
- "I had a situation last week where a young person who ... got COVID called their physician for Paxlovid and was denied," says Tien: The patient had a risk factor for COVID, but their doctor did not think they qualified for the drug, based on age and
vaccination
status.

Two years of caution and now new opportunities. Opinions sought
Three weeks ago I got covid after two years of precautions. Still not sure how I caught it, but the NHS did work well for me and I received a sotrovimab infusion within the first three days. Because I also have heart problems they couldn't give me paxlovid. My recovery was rapid, symptoms eased quickly

My GCA Story
Hi everyone. Last June I became a member of the GCA club, though not by choice. I wanted to share my story in case others experience somethig similar. It began like a common virus; sore throat, runny nose, mild fever of 100.5. I thought it might be covid, so got tested and was negative. I had been

GPs know nothing about 4th vaccine.
I tried to do that but the instructions said that I would need to take either a letter or a text in order to have the
vaccination
.

4th Covid vaccine
I had initially attempted to book it at a
vaccination
centre but couldn’t because my NHS records show the 3rd primary dose as a booster.

Research questions
Hi, I have been trying to research my illness (PPP) to make sense of it and have come up with a few questions I wonder if others could comment on. 1. Regarding hormones, do you think the sex of the babies has an effect on the illness. Do female babies provoke a higher risk of the illness in mothers?

Adrenals stuttering to life?
After a reasonably uneventful journey from 20mg pred in Jan 2021 (PMR diagnosed early Jan, triggered I think by the first Covid
vaccination
) to 7mg in April, I am now in the middle of reducing from 61/2 to 6.

3rd vaccination or booster ???
A week later I thought I’d double check that I’d had the 3rd
vaccination
, my doctor took two weeks and a reminder to tell me I’ve had the booster , and that there is no difference in the booster and the 3rd
vaccination

When should I have fourth Covid vaccination?
I see from some of the posts that people are having fourth dose around three months after their third. The letter from my haematology dept says I will be called for the fourth dose six months after the third ? I emailed my GP a week ago asking should/ could I arrange for fourth dose but haven’t had
