According to the story, the CDC intends to change the recommendation for immuno- compromised to three months, rather than five. The story doesn't say it has changed or exactly when it will change. It's probably best to keep following this.

It has, I wrote Dr last night. Upon checkin the app says 5 months but if you wanted sooner they would get you in she said. The bigger issue is people being rejected at cvs/Walgreens/local pharmacy but they want people to get shots that need them as they can’t predict if some of us are protected and how effective the vaccine is to get a response.

Or at least that’s what I got from her…but I’m going on Tuesday for my 4th shot.

I understand if you did not have a bad reaction then go for it. My understanding is that we are no immuno-compromised. Our immune systems are overactive.

I’m on Ocrevus - my drs says it’s not over reactive but surpressed and that covid itself tends to send peoples immune system into overdrive which is part of the effects on not knowing how one will react.

COVID-19 vaccines are safe to use with MS medications

Continue your disease modifying therapy (DMT) unless you are advised by your MS healthcare provider to stop or delay it. Stopping some DMTs abruptly can cause severe increase in disability with new lesions on MRI. Based on data from previous studies of other vaccines and DMTs, getting the COVID-19 vaccine while on any DMT is safe. Some DMTs may make the vaccine less effective but it will still provide some protection. For those taking Kesimpta, Lemtrada, Ocrevus, or Rituxan—you may consider coordinating the timing of your vaccine with the timing of your DMT dose. Work with your MS healthcare provider to determine the best schedule for you. Review our considerations of timing MS medications with these vaccines.
