God please save me from newly qualified doctors

47 Days in the Hospital with ILD. Still fighting. Doing Well. Hopefully Inspiring.
During July and August I was diagnosed with ILD and the form ( which there are many) was Cryptogenic Organizing Pneumonia (COP). Before I begin to share my story, please be reminded that we are all individuals and we respond to medications differently. So ignore statistics and personal experiences, simply

INR - increasing by what is eaten
I notice that following the Patients Day, everyone is aiming for a slightly higher INR. Mine is consistently 2.4. What would I need to eat to increase it just a fraction. I think it is Vitamin K - but what everyday foods include the quantity of Vitamin K I could comfortably eat to increase my number

My appointment at St Thomas'
Yesterday I went to St T's. They have taken a load of blood tests. I asked if the antibeta2glycoprotein was negative this time would I lose my APS diagnosis - it seems that that depends on my consultant up here. I think he goes along with one positive test means you have it - I hope - I would hate to

Newbie to community. Any such thing as a warfarin diet sheet that also accounts for a diabetic diet?
Am insulin dependent. Diets for diabetic damage repair and weight loss contain many foods with high Vitamin K content. Vitamin K intake should be kept to a minimum while on Warfarin. Has anyone seen a combination of diets reducing Vitamin K while trying to repair damage done by diabetes? I would appreciate

Hospital Farce
I have been on this site for some time but haven't posted in a while. Just felt I needed to share my latest experience with you. Three weeks ago, I was blue lighted to A & E with unbelievable back pain and headache. The ambulance crew felt that I had a kidney stone and gave me gas and air on the way

Losartan or Rivaroxaban side effects or triggers, or pure coincidence? A further update.
Further to the excrutiating pains I described in earlier posts about Rivaroxaban I had another blood test 23 days ago. Within 24 hours a doctor rang me to give me the results. He explained that one test showed the amount of inflammation in my body. It should have been around 15 to 20, but was at 130

Quick neutralisation of Dabigatran
The anticoagulation effects of Warfarin can be quite quickly neutralised with injections of Vitamin K in say the case of bleeding from an injury or the need for urgent surgery. This was not the case for Dabigatran or other, new, anticoagulants. How do Dabigatran patients feel about this risk and does

Has anyone had trouble with threadveins (on face) while taking warfarin? I have read vitamin k deficiency can contribute to this.
How can I get rid of these veins, laser treatment? Would appreciate any help.

MEET ME… I AM THE MODERN CAVEMAN…
I am the modern caveman. In a man-made high tech world, I am ashamed to live…… Wait a second…On second thoughts…… My body is the result of billion years of evolutionary perfection. It can put any modern man and his technology to shame. No single Genome project can unravel ME completely. A century

New here and is heparin OK long term?
Hi, I am new here. I had bilateral pulmonary embolisms last year and that started a flurry of investigations as to the cause as there was no logical reason for me to have got them. Given my history of severe hemiplegic migraines and the fact I'd had 5 miscarriages between my two children it was pretty

Warfarin and Vitamin D
As some know, my Husband has Primary APS. Apart from a DVT, because of a switched on Dr, he has lived a very happy, healthy life on Warfarin. This included working out regularly (and hard), lots of gardening, home renovations etc. A positive of his APS was that he would not bleed everywhere when he
