Went to the dr yesterday to discuss my osteoporosis and osteopenia diagnosis in right and left hip. He told me since my numbers are under 3 not to worry (2.8 currently). He told me to just exercise and eat healthy. Which for the last 15 years I have been doing. I weight lift 6x a week and eat extremely

Advice on vitamin D deficiency?
Hi, I hope you’re all well! I found out the other day that I’m severely deficient in vitamin D. My doctor has prescribed 20,000IU of vitamin D twice a week for 7 weeks, but I’ve also read that you should take vitamin K and magnesium alongside this. How much should I be taking of these vitamins alongside

Hello everyone! I'm getting pretty excited about this transplant! My labs are looking pretty good, besides the hematocrit and hemoglobin. I'll be going in this next week to do a procrit shot and iron I.V. to boost my numbers so I can stay on track, but otherwise I just need to keep doing what I'm doing

Vitamin K antagonists
This is a response to a warning that someone gave in a recent thread: "Be careful about taking Vitamin K. The following study suggests that long-term use of a Vitamin K ANTAGONIST may DECREASE the risk of prostate cancer by 17%: journals.lww.com/md-journal... "Based on that, I would be wary of increasing

High Creatinine at 8.0
Just new labs, creatinine jumped from 7.0 to 8.0, GFR now at 7, access surgery schedule 1st week in Jan. I now get labs weekly. My question is why I don't feel the symptoms of ESRD. I fatigue after standing too long but I attribute that to a Hgb rate of 8.6, feel okay when taking procrit, which I
