Advice on daughter (10) 3 month cough? Asthma or Post Viral Cough? Or both?!
Hello, any help appreciated. My daughter is 10 and has terrible cough for 3 months. It was relapsing/remitting in severity, but worse now than before. She was diagnosed with asthma at 5 and has been hospitalised once. Mostly she is controlled on clenol and montelukast. We have access to Respiratory consultant

Sores around vagina
Hi, for about 2-3 weeks now I’ve developed what looks like sores around the top part of my vagina inside the lips. It started out as two cuts, and now looks like big sores, they were never blisters that where filled with puss or anything. It’s been really itchy, I’ve gone to wearing really loose fitting

Is it just a cold or...
Is it just a cold or is it covid-19. As a person with lung disease (emphysema) it doesn't really matter in a way. Just a cold...to compromised lung person often turn to pneumonia and chest infections. Maybe its just more likely to catch the covid? For sure there are many many people in the world

Recovery time after flu triggered asthma exacerbation
Hello folks, wondering if anyone has any experience of this? I am 43 and have had asthma since I was a child. As an adult it has been largely well controlled and mild ( with periods of no inhalers, and others needed to take a preventative steroid inhaler). In December 2019 I caught flu, and ended up

Feeling Sad
As I've mentioned before my husband was in the hospital back in October for aspirated pneumonia and UTI that was septic. He had a feeding tube put in at that time. He had a hard time adjusting to not eating. I did feed him comfort food...pudding, apple sauce, etc. Anyway, he went to the hospital

Does anyone know what counts as 'recurrent infections'?
Good morning all, hope you are all well today! Bit grey here in Surrey but the birds are still singing. :) I've just been looking at the kindly provided Leeds Hospital guidance chart on risk levels, and wondered if anyone could clarify for me what is meant by suffering from 'recurrent infections'? I

Failing Badly
Help! I'm supposed to be losing weight, but since lockdown and the cold weather, I seem to be over indulging again. For some reason my brain decides that cold weather is a good reason for a bit of comfort eating. I am being way too heavy handed with bread, cold weather is a great time for soup, but

Ongoing thrush problem (I think?) not responding to anti-fungal treatment anymore
Last summer, I developed a white thicker discharge than normal that looked like it had little white specs in it (what looked like and felt like dead skin or wet tissue). However, I didn't really have any other symptoms like itching or soreness. I bought the oral pill (Fluconazole) which got rid of it

GP told me to self isolate 2 more weeks?
So I self isolated for 14 days as my wife has Covid-19 symptoms. At the the time I was waiting to see if my asthma condition was going be on the high risk group or not, and I was due to return to work the next day. So I emailed my GP who looked at my notes and replied I should isolate for 2 more weeks

Help! So cold I wanna eat but will break my calorie limit!
Typically my boiler has broken so no hot water or heating! Boiler company say because of the virus they won't come out for at least three weeks! I'm soooo cold it's me want to snuggle under the blankets in bed with lots of warm comfort foods! I am trying to hold out to dinner time in two hours time!

RE- Hand Sanitiser
I have made up my own sanitiser after reading the advice from WHO. Use Isopropyl alcohol or 150% proof Grain Alcohol. Then fill 70% of a pump bottle with the alcohol, then few drops of glycerine for moisturiser or aloe vera and maybe tea tree for fragrance then top up with water. I couldn't get glycerine
