So I self isolated for 14 days as my wife has Covid-19 symptoms. At the the time I was waiting to see if my asthma condition was going be on the high risk group or not, and I was due to return to work the next day. So I emailed my GP who looked at my notes and replied I should isolate for 2 more weeks. This is odd as it does not fit either the high shielding guideline of 12 weeks, or the 14 days of self isolation due to Covid-19 symptoms from someone else in the house hold.
Has anyone else received this advice? I can't understand the logic behind it.
I'm Fostair 100/6 2 puffs twice a day, + extra when I need it. The last time I had bad flu I ended up in hospital with pneumonia and pleurisy for a week.
