CPAP user dental problems
Does anyone have any advice on dental care? I'm sure the pressure of the mask cushions on my gums is causing my 'long in the tooth' look. I use a humidifier as am a mouth breather. A chin strap is not possible for me due to the venous malformation I have in my mouth that is the cause of my OSAS. Any

Dnacpr without family consent for Covid patient
Mum has been in hospital for 50 days, oxygen level 28-30% and is on cpap mode on ventilator. Lungs are still damaged from Covid and isn’t moving the left side of her body although ct scan of brain came back clear. She’s moving the other side fine and is even waving at us through video call. We’re constantly

Stridor in MSA
I was originally diagnosed with Parkinson's but last year i developed Stridor and my symptoms both changed and escalated quite rapidly. It is now suggested i may have MSA albeit Stridor is not a common symptom of this. Does anyone else have experience of this? Also, have you tried CPAP as a treatment

Suggest any right method to avoid sleep apnea
"Hey all Can anyone help me out of this I have been facing certain issues in the past two weeks. I'm not able to sleep well at night. My friend argued that it is because of sleep apnea. Due to lack of sleep, I feel tired during my working hours and dozing off while doing my works. Since I worked in

Dialysis & MS-contin (Morphine)
I started dialysis 4 weeks ago and I’m up to 4 hour treatments. At 3 hours the ms-contin was ok, at 4 hours it bleeds off all ms-contin and I end up in excruciating pain for about 36 hours before I get the chronic pain under control. Has anyone gone through this or have any recommendations on other drugs

Dry Mouth Remedies?
I am on oxygen 24/7, sleep with a CPAP machine and take prednisone for advanced PF and 'usual' medications for a heart condition. I'm becoming increasingly bothered by a dry mouth, especially on waking even though I am not a mouth breather. Are there any effective remedies out there? Must be sugar

Well that was a weird week and a long post, sorry
So 5 years ago before any heart trouble i was a judo coach and badly dislocated my left shoulder requiring surgery. I had a procedure called acromioclavicular joint stabilisation with lockdown. Last Monday 23rd November i woke up took off my cpap and got out of bed with excruciating pain in my shoulder

Hi. My first post here. I have had really bad insomnia for the past year, in conjunction with a depressive episode. I have no problem falling asleep. My problem is staying asleep. I use a cpap machine for sleep apnea and I have been on trazadone for a long time to try to resolve this. But it persists

Obstructive sleep apnea and Parkinson's
Curious to know how many people here with pd also have obstructive sleep apnea. I do, and I just went on cpap therapy recently. Noticing a slight improvement in most symptoms and hoping that with continued diligence I can improve more. Here's a link to a very basic article on the relationship between

Doctors use existing treatment earlier to save the lives of Covid-19 patients.
The lives of patients hospitalised with Covid-19 are being saved by doctors who are using an existing medical treatment at an earlier stage. Dr Luigi Sedda of Lancaster University analysed the results from the team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (WWL). Their research
