Anyone with Fibromyalgia also diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and suffer with seborrheic dermatitis? I mainly have it on face and scalp. I have never suffered with skin conditions untill now? I have been prescribed creams etc for my face but I can't put it on when wearing mask at night. Anyone got any tips ? It's horrible and burns!

i habe sebhorraic dermatitis but don't have sleep apnea, but can appreciate how the mask would aggravate the dermatitis. Can you use the creams during the day? or put them on an hour or so before going to sleep so they have had plenty of time to be absorbed?

Hi Hazel, I apply 3 times a day. Night time is meant to be best however face needs to be clear of all creams etc for mask. I have ordered a mask covering to see if that helps but if anyone knows of other ways to soothe it I would appreciate it.Thanks

hubby's never been told not to use creams with mask - he doesn't use it regularly, but has used it at night when skin is really bad.

Hi Hazel, i guess it could be to do with where skin issues are and which mask it is. On my paperwork it tells me not to? Looking forward to trying out my new maak cover when it arrives. How many possible links/triggers with other conditions does Fibromyalgia actually have?

I use a cotton cover over the CPAP mask so the silicon does not touch my skin. I get them from an Amazon third party seller. They are costly for what they are but work for me.

I have Seborrhoeic dermatitis and have found it is easier to control by only consuming Lactose Free milk.Works for me !

Rosethornend, answers for many of your health concerns may be found in the B vitamins. Sleep Apnea has a connection to thiamine deficiency in the brain. Thiamine can also offer relief for Fibromyalgia. Both can benefit from a form of thiamine called TTFD such as Lipothiamine and another called Sulbutiamine both of which pass through the blood/brain barrier more effectively than water soluble forms and are unlikely found in a B Complex formulation. Adequate magnesium is necessary for thiamin's bioavailability. Vitamin B6 deficiency is a possible cause of your seborrheic dermatitis. Utilizing pyridoxal-5-phosphate the active form of vitamin B6 will assure you it's potency is best utilized. Always consult with your health care provider before using any supplement.
