Thyroid menopause supplement no hrt
Hi. I've been feeling quite good for a while now but I've had to stop taking HRT.I'm now feeling not fabulous again. I'm looking at all the natural alternatives. Anyone got any suggestions which won't interfere with thyroxine or aggravate the thyroid? Thank you

Do you try to keep your diagnosis private?
My wife has been a wonderful companion through my diagnosis and recent hospitalization from sepsis due to my 2nd biopsy. She almost lost me but I have returned to vigor and preparing for this journey through radiation and ADT next month. However, because I still work and am at a point where my business

Hi everyone, I'm a long time ThyroidUK participant. Right now the thyroid replacement is good, vitamins, minerals, are all great. I'm very particular to ensure this. I use HRT (Triestrogen/progesterone) topical cream and have used since age 45 and I'm now 65. Here's the problem: in March

Questions about protocol changes regarding ADT from 2nd opinion.
I was diagnosed with PC about 2 months ago. I received a 2nd opinion from John's Hopkins today and all cores had a different (slightly lower) Gleason scores than my local testing gave. However I do have the evidence of adenocarcinoma in the prostate and am starting on this road through RT (with an OAR

My Oncologist says that after 4+ years of ADT, I am showing signs of castrative resistance. He also said that I am currently Low volume, low PSA Oligmatistic. Can someone translate. I had a PSMA scan a couple of weeks ago and the Radiation Oncologist said that I had a positive response. Thanks

Progesterone: oestrogen ratio
Hi all I recently got my oestrogen and progesterone levels done by medichecks.I was hoping they worked out the actual ratio of oestrogen to progesterone but they don't so now I'm confused. The 2 results are calculated in different values (pmol/L Vs nmol/L) which makes it hard to interpret if one of

Armpits? Yeah, armpits.
18 months ADT and my armpit hair has slowly, but finally, gone 😫.True, it's not a dramatic loss compared to the sacred memory of a hard erection! But a symptom is a symptom, and they all seem to have complications. After the hair had mostly become a memory, I started having a strange sensation in there

My son’s PSA rose a bit today.
My son’s last PSA three months ago was <.01 but today it was <.10.It was previously as high as 22. He’s also tertiary five. His Mayo doctor told him to continue to test every three months, stay on current meds Lupron, Abiraterone/prednisone for another year and two months then stop meds and wait

Surgical Castration ?
I have been on Eligard for two months. Prior to starting ADT my Triglycerides were 100 (May 2023). After only two months of Eligard they are thru the roof (495). Since I have metastatic PC they tell me that I will be on ADT for life. I am considering surgical orchiectomy since there are fewer metabolic

ADT or not?
Hi, i have Stage 4 PCA, Gleason 5+4 so I am on Degaralix and Enzalutamide. I tend to refer to this treatment as ADT as shorthand because to my mind they both reduce testosterone. I wonder if I’m misusing ADT or does it matter?

UserName Change Search Link
I just changed my username name from the impersonal "JHMX" to "JohnInTheMiddle". Among other things I liked the TV show Malcolm in the Middle. And when I signed up it was in that kind of crazy time of DX that many people here will recognize. But as I become familiar with the stories and exploration here

ADT duration data measures
odd query but when reading studies and research on ADT duration they refer to months or years - I am curious as the implants are often prescribed monthly or 3 monthly but that actually means 4 weekly or 12 weekly with such ADT as goserelin - so are the studies that say 4, 6, 18, 24, 36 months referring

RLS - Q&A
Hi RLS survivors I am continuing my Pregabalin journey and wanted to check in with this community to ask out loud various questions circling around my head. The good news is that Pregabalin is making a difference. I get some relief from jumpy legs at night even on a low dose (75mg) What I am experiencing

Unexpected Dive in PSA
Was diagnosed with Gleason 7 (4+3) in June. PSA was initially 19.76 in April, went up to 21.78 in May to confirm first high PSA, retested again in August at 19.39. Started taking Orgovyx on 9/11 and began IMRT (37 fractions, 70-78gy to prostate, SIB boost to 85-90gy) on 9/28. Had my PSA checked again

Orgovyx Insurance Approval
Anyone who is not on Medicare but relying on private insurance in getting approval for Orgovyx? I really want to avoid Lupron or Eligard since I take two blood pressure meds, one statin and Metformin for type 2 diabetes already. Plus, I have heard nothing but bad things about both. Yes, I realize
