Finished Venetoclax, then Covid
My doctor prescribed Venetoclax after two rounds of chemo/immuno infusions to fight CLL. I felt great! Swimming half a mile, felt strong. Then bronchitis, pneumonia, and Covid. Was hospitalized and released in 6 days. But my home convalescence is not what I expected. Weakness, coughing, general severe

Cold virus
I’ve had PMR for two years now and on 8mg pred attempting my second tapering cycle. I’ve have a really heavy cold now for over a week which started as a mild cold for two weeks before that. I’m wondering if my immune system is reducing my ability to get on top of this and allowing it to prevail much

Mum grew her angel wings
hi all, I just wanted to write a post on here as I sadly lost my mum last week after a 7 year battle with PSP. Although it was pneumonia that took her in the end. I just wanted to write on here to say, give your loved ones suffering an extra big hug this Christmas and remember to be their loved one

Flu, antibiotics and Levo
I’m recovering from quite a bad flu I’m having to take antibiotics 4 times a day, now this is my question. I’m having very severe headache they are worse after my dose of levothyroxine which I’m leaving the 4 hour gap with. Could it just be the antibiotic hasn’t knocked the headache part of the illness

Baseline figure from lung function test
After 10 days post hospital admission with pneumonia I went to have a lung function test at my local hospital. The result of the test was 438 a new baseline. My usual top peak flow is 500 (very unused as it doesn't match my height, sex and ethnicity) I should be blowing 420. One explanation was that

UTI issues
Hi all, Is it quite common to see blood in the urine with a UTI? My doctor says so but Googling has me believe it’s a kidney infection and I’m on the wrong antibiotics. I’ve had a UTI in the past and had the burning and pain but no visible blood? Thanks

Bronchitis
I have been coughing on and off for about a month, a few days ago I started feeling really ill. I phoned the surgery and was given an appointment with a nurse practitioner who confirmed it was bronchitis and not a chest infection and gave a prescription for a salbutamol inhaler. Should I be concerned

Targinact
I have had RLS for over 20 years and have tried most medications, the latest being Pregabalin, which was good but is now not working so well. I therefore asked my GP if I could try Targinact as I read this is now licensed for RLS. He has agreed and I just need to taper Pregabalin. Can anyone

Hi Sue
I take 1200 mg gabapentin but in bed, 600mg getting into bed, and then 600mg in the middle of the night. This is partly because I have mild ADHD and am quite forgetful. But I don't suffer from RLS anything like some of the poor folk on here. Also I take the following supplements . 1g of vit c. 300 mg

Common Cold and CLL? What does Immune Compromised actually mean?
So when one gets a "common cold," and has CLL progressing but still in W&W, should one expect to get a worse cold than one would've before the CLL took hold? In the 6 years since diagnosis with 13q/unmutated CLL, my numbers have been creeping up, with ALC recently topping at about 30K, and WBC just

cold/cough/flu symptoms on day of FET
Hi everyone, just had my 4th FET, no success so far but hoping my recent fallopian tube removal has done the trick and I’ll implant this time 🤞 the annoying thing is after all the failed transfers and last one cancelled when they discovered liquid on my ovary leading to the laproscopy showing a blocked

Does anyone have an update on taking vitB3 niacin? After asking what I could personally do to help with my glaucoma, apart from the obvious healthy eating and regular excercise my consultant wrote down supplements, albeit no strength was mentioned. Infection without cough or fever?
Is it possible to have a chest infection without a cough or fever? I've just gotten over a cold (2nd one in a month) and again my asthma is flaring but I also feel uncomfortable/pain in the back of my lungs. I don't have a cough, but if I do, it's dry and kind of squeaks. 🤷🏻♀️

Sort of flu
I think I’ve got something flu like. I feel achy and horrible, coughing and exhausted. I have been very slowly reducing steroids and am down to 0.5 mg. I’ve been getting shooting pains in one knee and have painful fingers, I’ve never had these particular symptoms before! I don’t know if pmr is flaring
