He agreed that
TSH
and various symptoms indicated that it wasn’t working properly and agreed to increase Levothyroxine from 75 to 100 mcg. A USS has also been requested to investigate my thyroid being swollen (???).

T3 (Cytomel): How would you fit it in these results? Or would you? And all the mistakes I have made on this journey
TSH
in the 20s and 30s. With t3 often low despite the combination in NDT. I have access to 25 mcg of Cytomel. Hard to carry the cost but have access. And a pill cutter that does its job. ***How would you add t3 back in or would you?

NHS Lab tests available to buy privately
To give you an idea of costs
TSH
FT3 FT4 TPO Antibodies would cost £42 Thyroid Peroxidase £29 Diabetes Vitamin D Total Cholesterol Thyroid £49 They have gradually built up the tests they do.

I know I feel ‘normal’ now as my
TSH
is around 1/1.5 and I’ve read on this forum that around 1 is usually where people feel better. I also know it’s better to get full tests etc, but anyway she’s got her
TSH
results back and it’s 4.4.

Need info for doctor's appointment
I need the new post I saw yesterday that lists references to articles which recommend how GPs should manage symptoms which we report, for example pointing out that most of us feel better with a
TSH
level much lower than is generally accepted as OK.

Speechless by my GP’s response
I messaged my GP surgery and requested a full thyroid blood test (not just
TSH
which is all I’ve been able to get since COVID) as well as iron, vits B and D tests. I’ve been feeling really rotten, and want to look at every potential reason.

I am in the process of arranging private blood tests after very helpful advice from members on this site, as my recent annual blood tests showed my
TSH
had risen to 2.69, from 1.5 last September. GP feels this within range, so unwilling to review my dosage of levo !

Should I accept dose reduction?
I made the test appointment for six weeks ahead and decided to drop to 75 for the six weeks in an effort to raise my
TSH
. Even though it’s never been over 0.14 on 75mcg. I felt I had less energy on 75 but hey-ho, it would be worth it. It didn’t work. My
TSH
(at 8.15am) was still 0.03.

So frustrated
And then this year, they just had
TSH
on the form, despite a phone call beforehand from me, to check I was getting all the tests I needed.

Help needed with daughter's "normal" TSH results please.
TSH
3.83 mu/L range (0.25 - 4.20) Free T4 9.4 pmol/L range (11.0 - 25.0) The test was requested by Dermatology at the local hospital after i pushed my daughter to ask. (She's had a few thyroid tests over years by GP which always come back "normal").

Please may I get your thoughts on 2nd round of thyroid tests?
First ever
TSH
done in 2004 age 25 when I started to complain more about symptoms to my GP –
TSH
3.4 (0.5-4.2). But, looking back I can see a few problems started in childhood. Currently awaiting referral to Neurology and ENT. Also awaiting more tests for my low blood pressure.

Endocrinologist has reduced Thyroid meds *again* due to suppressed TSH from T3. Argh!
Despite a marked increase in hypothyroid symptoms in the months since the T3 drop and T4 raise, today a second endocrinologist has asked me to now drop the T4 a dose too as my
TSH
is currently too suppressed.

Test results show no inflammation
My blood tests did show that my T4 levels were quite low [although
TSH
looks reasonable] so I have asked my GP to increase my levothyroxine dosage as I am only on 50mg at the moment.
