TSH-suppressive doses of levothyroxine are required to achieve preoperative native serum triiodothyronine levels in patients who have undergone total thyroidectomy. Eur.

TSH. 0.15 low T4. 15.1 T3 4 low. Wht shall I ask of my GP with these results.? I am so confused.

Ideally I would like my TSH to not be suppressed (mainly to get doctors off my back!) whilst having a good level of T4 and T3. I’m worried that if I stay on thyroxine and lower my dose to raise my TSH, my T3 will fall too low.

Anyway results haven't been put up yet but his notes on my health record say Norm, t3, t4 and rising TSH. If I'm missing something all my symptoms are hyper ones. Can rising TSH cause the same issues as hyper?

Bloods were taken Feb after 5mg dose readings: TSH 0.02 ( no change) T4, 14 ( down 2 points) T3, 5.4 ( down 1.3). So endo ( via gp) recommend increase to 10mg.

My TSH has reduced since increasing levo but T3 and T4 still not great at 4.6 and 17.6 respectively. Vitamins all OK.Has anyone found that their swelling/puffy face has gone when they went onto NDT or T3?

The good news is the thyroid cancer has shrunk, TSH has corrected itself, TGAB has come down and have good full blood count, b12, folate, ferritin and parathyroid levels again! I’m not taking any meds, just loads of supplements, but interested in LDN, T2 and T3.

I've just had bloods done so anticipating the usual conversation with my GP about my TSH being too low.... I've screen shot my results since 2015 basically as I've been tracking them as my TSH rarely changes, even with a reduction in thyroxine.

I started levothyroxine 3 months ago at 50mg following a slightly high TSH count resulting in an ultrasound which found a benign thyroid nodule. My TSH was good for the first following up, but raised above the threshold in my last blood test. My last test also showed high cholesterol.

I have just had a set of results back and they r as follows: TSH 1.44 (0.27-4.2) T4: 16.6 (12.0-22.0) T3: 7.1 (3.1-6.8) As you can see my T3 is too high. I take 75mg of T4 each day And 10mg T3 three x a week. Is lowering my T3 as simple as reducing the amount I take?

It will change your T4 levels slightly, and not influence your TSH. It won't impact my interpretation of your results. It is not worth worrying about.

I have a thyroid nodule that is 2.7cm my tsh was 1.2 T4 12 Mean corpusc. haemoglobin(MCH) 31.8 Serum transferrin 1.87 Serum adjusted calcium conc 2.3 Erythrocyte sedimentation rate 2 HbA1c(diagnos ref rnge)IFCC st: 38 everything else seems well in range on other tests results.

Has anyone else experienced cholesterol going up in tandem with TSH? I also have high blood pressure (150/90). When I questioned an NHS endo about the relationship between the high cholesterol and MCTD, he dismissed it completely.

I received the results below: TSH: 10.2 (0.27 - 4.2 mlU/L) Thyroxine (T4): 12.7 pmol/L (12 - 22 pmol/L) This was all that was requested. Previous March results TSH: 0.12 mlU/L Thyroxine (T4): 17 pmol/L I am somewhat confused by the current results but could explain my recent lethargy.

We can’t find a reason for this but my GP did some bloods that showed a normal T4/T3 but a TSH of 3.7 which is the upper limit of the normal range. I have been begging to trial thyroid hormone replacement but my GP insists that this is not indicated due to my normal T3/4.
