Ipatasertib+abiraterone effective in men with PTEN-loss
As genomic breakdown continues in prostate cancer metastases, PTEN, a tumor suppressor gene, and the protein it makes, is often lost. PTEN deletion is common even early (18% of prostatectomy samples). Without PTEN, the cancer cell signals proliferation with a chemical called AKT. Ipatasertib inhibits

Stay in trial or find a new one?
Started a clinical trial with Lynparza and AZD6738 ATR inhibitor on 3/15/2021. (My profile shows detailed history from diagnosis in 2014.) On start date my PSA was 17.77. It reached a nadir of 6.92 by 5/24/2021. In two weeks, on 6/9/2021, it had gone to 11.32! This past Tuesday, two weeks later, it rise

Clinical trial for waldenstrom
I started a clinical trial of two oral meds this week: ibrutinib and venetoclax. Dana farber is running the 50 person trial. They’re powerful, targeted meds to knock down the cancer. I was diagnosed last feb as I turned 70 and moved quickly from watch and wait to treatment based on blood tests not symptoms

Kill Breast Cancer cells and their secondary peeps ! Omega 3 is important. Omega 3 consists of DHA/EPA. Read On.
I'm on Ibrance/Faslodex. For 6 months. Besides my Onc, I do have an integrative holistic onc. I'm ER/PR positive/Her2 Negative. All of us should be taking Omega 3, however, part of that mix is a combination of DHA/ EPA. In my particular case, DHA is huge. She suggested I amp up DHA/ I ordered this

Mum is being considered for it due to advanced endometrial cancer now being unreceptive to Taxol. There’s loads of info on Doxorubicin but struggling

BTK inhibitors for the treatment of CLL - the current state of play of 'brutinibs'
In just a short time, in many places, BTK inhibitors (BTKi) have largely replaced chemoimmunotherapy (CIT) for treatment naive CLL patients, while also playing an important role in relapsed/refractory CLL. For a
detailed list of the many BTK inhibitors
in the pipeline, check out @AussieNeil’s
