Hi,

It’s really nice to find this site! I was diagnosed 11/19 with MBC. ER/PR- & HeR2+. It was in my breast, liver and lungs. I started in a clinical trial that January 2020. It runs for two years. The first 6 months, I went every week for taxol and every three weeks they added herceptin, perjeta and trial drug (tecentriq). After the first 6 months, I have been going every 3 weeks for the trio- cocktail. The first year, my liver was found clean of mets and the rest had shrunk 70%. For the last 6 months they consider me “stable”. I have handled the treatments pretty well, but the tecentriq causes a lot of stomach issues.

It’s really great to find a group of people who are going through this kind of journey. I find it super stressful when it’s time for scans. My Muga wasn’t great last time, so we will see next month if it is better or worse(which would mean withholding treatment). I have a new oncologist I don’t really care for , so that adds to the stress. Overall I try to stay super positive, because I believe God has a plan for me.

Thanks for listening and have a wonderful weekend 🙏🏻🌺

If you do not like your oncologist, can you make a change? It is not helpful to not like your doctor!

Hi!

Welcome! Thanks for sharing. My Mets are er/pr- her2+ also (lung). I’m on herceptin and perjeta and I’m stable now also. I sure do want to hear the NED term used though. I was diagnosed 11/2018.

I’m glad you’re tolerating your treatment pretty well. I’m going to follow you since we’re both her2+. Keep us updated on the trial.

Stacy

Welcome Malibu5! Praying your treatments continue to work & for God to give you wisdom about finding an oncologist that you trust. You will meet may here on the journey with you! 🙏❤️🙏
